TLC Pulls ’19 Kids and Counting’ Amidst Josh Duggar’s Child Molestation Controversy

Thankfully, TLC decided to step up to the plate and do the right thing by immediately removing 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule after Josh Duggar‘s history of sexually abusing underage girls (and his parents’ attempts to cover all that up) came to light this week. There’s no word as to whether the show is cancelled for good, and before all that, TLC was actually running a MARATHON of the show, full of episodes that focused a lot on Josh, so… take from that what you will.

Here’s the statement TLC released:

“Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.”

Of course, they can’t legally say anything else about it, and there is precedence for this since they also cancelled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo after Mama June was letting a convicted child molester have access to her children, but WTF is wrong with these families? I honestly can’t deal.

Oh, and here’s another disgusting element to this whole thing: police have actually destroyed the records regarding Duggar’s crimes, because that’s totally what law enforcement does?

On Thursday, May 21, a spokesperson for the Springdale Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly that local circuit Judge Stacey Zimmerman signed for the offense report from 2006 to be expunged.

The records allegedly contained information of Duggar’s suspected molestation of the girls when he was 14 years old. According to TMZ, the now-destroyed investigation documents said Duggar allegedly fondled the breasts and genitals of the females.

Meanwhile, local Arkansas paper, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, obtained a copy of the report on Thursday. The paper said the report was “heavily redacted” and did not include the identities of the kids involved.

I’m glad the kids’ names have been redacted – the victims should always be protected. But protecting this sick piece of shit and his equally sick parents? No, just NO.

Josh Duggar Has Been Molesting Underage Girls

Raise your hand if you’re shocked that the Duggar family is super fucked up. No one? Didn’t think so. Josh Duggar, one of the family’s 19 weirdo kids, has been charged with molesting underage girls… including his sisters. Yikes.

From TMZ:

The story was broken by In Touch Weekly, but TMZ has confirmed with law enforcement that Josh Duggar — who was around 14 at the time —  was the alleged molester against 5 girls starting in 2002.

According to the police report, Josh fondled the genitals and breasts of the girls, some of whom were sleeping, but sometimes they were interacting with him … in one case reading a book.

There was another reported incident 9 months later. According to the police report, the police were not immediately contacted. Instead, Jim  Bob, the dad, met with church elders and agreed Josh should be put in a treatment program.  The police report says Josh’s mom, Michelle, said it wasn’t really a treatment center … they simply sent Josh to a guy who was remodeling a building to do manual labor.

In 2006, the family was scheduled to appear on “Oprah,” and before the show someone sent an email to Harpo warning that Josh had molested girls. Harpo forwarded the email to a hotline, which triggered a police investigation.

Cops wanted to question Josh, but Jim Bob lawyered him up and Josh declined the invitation.

Josh, who is now 27, apparently cannot be charged because the statute of limitations has run.

As for the Duggars, one of the family members told investigators, “this entire incident had brought the family closer to God” … this according to the police report.

Oh yeah, did I mention that the Duggar parents covered this whole thing up for YEARS? Real Christianly of them, supporting sexual assault in the name of God. But then, I suppose those values only apply when it’s convenient for them. Fuck the Duggars, and this molester. I can’t believe he’s just going to get away with it. Ugh.

And one more thing – did you know that this guy is a father? Lovely!

UPDATE: He’s apologized for his crimes.

“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,” Duggar, now 27, said in a statement to People magazine. “I hurt others, including my family and close friends.”

“I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life … I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions. I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God’s grace, mercy and redemption.”

Let us not forget, either, that his parents lied about him being in counseling and they’ve been more concerned with protecting Josh than their daughters. Fuck the Duggars.

A New Generation Of Duggars Has Begun

Well, here we mother fucking go again. The family that freaks me out more than anything, The Duggars, are continuing to expand at a rapid rate. The oldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle, Josh and his wife Anna have welcomed their first baby Mackynzie Renée Duggar, in to the world. And don’t forget that Michelle Duggar is pregnant right now too, so it’s gonna be one of those situations where little Mackynzie has an aunt or an uncle that’s younger than her. Those are always fun.

Josh, who I am pretty sure just got married so he could see what sex feels like, and his wife Anna delivered the baby at home with a midwife and a doula and according to a family friend, “Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well.” I mean, do these people not have access to television? Is that the problem?
