Can Everyone Just Stop Talking Smack About Tia Mowry’s Baby?

Tia Mowry had a baby. And since people can be dicks, people are criticizing the baby’s looks.

Here’s an example of a comment found somewhere on the internet:

“You know I’m right, that baby is ugly. That’s why you’re all hyped up about it. Say what you want and don’t act like ugly babies don’t exist. It is what it is. Don’t be at mad me. And just b/c I said the baby was ugly, it doesn’t mean he’ll always be that way. Who knows, maybe the kid will eventually grow into his head.”

Comments like these are made frequently enough that Tia has heard about them, which indicates that a good amount of people are trash talking this kid. But does Tia Mowry appreciate that? No, she most certainly does not:

Appearing on Live From E! today, the Tia & Tamera star blasted online critics who have written what she said were “disgusting” comments about her 1-year-old son, Cree Taylor Hardrict, online.

“I really don’t understand why people feel the need to belittle a child, someone who doesn’t even have a voice yet to express themselves,” said Mowry. “I just think it’s disgusting—disgusting that we live in a society that focuses on looks.”

Mowry told the panel that she feels sympathy as well for fellow celebrities like Jessica Simpson who get so much flak for their post-pregnancy bodies.

“Guys, let’s get women time to get back to themselves. We just brought life into this world,” she added. “Some women bounce back quickly and some don’t…I’m not gonna be at a gym five days a week. I wanna spend time with my son.”

Of course, I totally agree with Tia here. Maybe in a few years, her little boy will start trying out new haircuts and clothing styles, maybe he’ll start to learn about accessorizing and personal styling, but right now I’m pretty sure he’s busy focusing on growing teeth and trying out solid food and learning how to talk so he can address the haters that don’t have anything better to do than to start discussions about someone’s baby’s attractiveness.

Seriously, he’s a baby. He’s a little one-year-old baby with chubby little cheeks and floppy baby hair and big baby eyes. He’s not Kelly Osbourne who made a dumb choice to bleach her eyebrows or Kim Kardashian who constantly offers up a wide variety of ass angles for us. You guys, he probably doesn’t even know who Kim Kardashian is. Do you really think he’s fair game?

Also, look at his little face!

How sweet is that face?

  • This is the first I’ve heard of any of this – didn’t even know she had a child – but from the 2 pics you posted, I think that baby is adorable! Very puzzled as to why people would criticize a baby, and can only assume they’re not parents.

  • This baby is adorable! I’d like to see what these cruel commenting internet trolls looked like as babies.

  • I am *not* child-friendly and even I have to say that is one damn cute little kid.

Who picks on babies anyway? How miserable is your life that insulting a freaking baby makes you feel better about yourself? Sad, sad people.

  • I’m also not into babies, but this kid is cute. Someone who would spend time putting down a little kid who has no say so in anything yet should be ignored, they are pathetic.

  • Well you know what? Some babies are ugly. I think it’s funny that everybody is all “omg you should never say a baby is ugly!!!” and then will turn around and mock an adult for how they look.

  • It’s funny that you are all about leaving innocent kids alone, which is awesome and should be done, but yet your fellow blogger Sarah loves blogging about beyonce and her “fake” baby.

  • Tia you have a beautiful baby I love to see him interact with you so a blessing. Don’t let sick minded people get in your head. Sounds like a hater to me. I love you and your sister I really enjoy this family show so clean and funny. Thank you and your family and your sister and her family for allowing us to be apart of your lives. Be Blessed.

  • Tia a just don’t get it how can someone look on this baby and said that he’s ugly well he’s not he’s a cutie and i believe its just grudgefull and bad mine cause them can’t walk in a you shoes
