Katy Perry’s latest single, “Dark Horse” is out! She just dropped it and you can pick it up here. It’s nothing like she’s done before and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Whereas “Roar” sounds like it would be the perfect song for a movie trailer about the hottest summer teen movie about believing in yourself and shit like that, “Dark House” has a decidedly…well, darker sound. It’s also got that hip hop feel people were talking about.
The rest of the album, Prism, comes out on October 22.

this asshole music snob LIKES it! wow. true that dude voice is distracting, terrible & unnecessary. all around, nice chill melodies; sounds a helluva lot more appealing than when she’s trying to squawk out high notes. stay on the crooning path, katy.

I actually like it! It is better than all her other stuff that sounds the same. Juicy J gives it the hip hop swag which will get her more mass appeal and crossover appeal on other radio stations. This song might get her more attention where she could get more people to listen to her other songs from this album when it comes out.
