And sources are saying that she’s the only one who didn’t want a Spice Girls reunion to happen, because she was too busy with her busy, busy life, and supposedly didn’t even have time to hit up the London Olympics, let alone perform at them.

The Spice Girls were prepared to perform without fellow band member, Victoria Beckham at the Closing Ceremony for the London Olympics, because David Beckham’s wife had told the group she was just too busy with her fashion label and taking care of her four children, but when she learned that the band would perform without her she had a change of heart, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Danny Boyle (producer of the opening & closing ceremony for the London Olympics) had been trying to get the Spice Girls to perform for over a year and a half,” a source close to the band tells Radar. “He felt that there was no way London could host the Olympics and not have the Spice Girls perform. They hold the record for the most popular all female band in history and are a really important part of the British music scene.
“The lone holdout during the entire negotiation process leading up to the Games had been Victoria. Victoria said her schedule just wouldn’t permit it because of commitments with her fashion line and her duties of being a mother, including daughter, Harper, who just turned one year old. The ladies decided they would perform without Victoria because they felt it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to play for a worldwide audience at the Olympics. Once Victoria learned of their plans she was able to juggle her schedule to allow her to perform too.”
The Spice Girls wowed viewers of the closing ceremony and the ladies performed a medley of their 90?s hits, and all looked fantastic in their outfits that represented their persona with the band. Posh Spice wore a revealing black gown that showed off her gorgeous gams, and Mel B, Scary Spice wore a form fitting glitter bodysuit, which complimented her toned physique.
Could I see this being the truth? Well yeah, absolutely. I could definitely see good old Victoria Beckham complaining that she just doesn’t have enough time in her busy day to sit down and do a show with the Spice Girls. But to even hesitate for the Olympics? Come on. I know she’s, like, the Queen of Everything over in the UK, but seriously? Loosen up and have a little fun in life, why don’t you, V Becks? Jeez.
I loved the freaky performance they gave, but she did seem like the fun police.
Her performance was awful. She knows her strengths, and she knows her weaknesses. I think she had the right idea not wanting to perform, as even during Spice Girls days she was never the singer/performer, she just looked pretty. The more I read about this the more I start to like Victoria. Seems she did manage to get out of the gutter!
Those Spice girl gal pals are jealous.. hate and talk mean about her.. say the only talent she has is being the most famous of them all the time.. Why should Victoria stop her life and help them again and again.. well.. she’s nice..
Victoria likes to pretend she is just too good and popular for the Spice Girls, that’s what her problem is. Only when she realized that she didn’t hold any leverage over their heads did she give in and perform. She literally enjoys the power of stopping them from being a complete group and when she saw that she didn’t, she agreed. Funny how she all of a sudden had to time when she swore she didn’t. It’s all so obvious because 1. Who is too busy for the Olympics? And 2. How did she miraculously have time all of a sudden? She could make time for the Olympics, CHRIST.. She’s just too into herself and loves the attention of being the one to hold out, she’s basically saying that the Spice Girls is all they have but it’s so miniscule to her that she couldn’t possibly find a frigging nanny and put picking out swatches for her clothing line aside for one day.. that’s how much it means to her. Because you know damn well she’s not sewing or drawing up clothing designs in her spare time. She’s a conceited snob who thinks she is better than all of them now because she got some media attention the last few years for being stick skinny and having a cool haircut. It’s awesome that they decided to go on without her haha, put her in her goddamned place. She saw that they really didn’t give a flying crap if miss queen of England over there didn’t join them. Snotty anorexic diva needs to get over herself. Please, what a bullcrap story if I ever heard one. People need to stop paying attention to this bit*h and knock her off her high horse..
