Get a few celebrities involved and suddenly everyone wants a “Bouska NoH8 Portrait” for their perspective social networking defaults. I have issues with this –
1 – He charges folks to take the pics. A nominal amount, but it doesn’t seem as charitable when he’s got a collection plate going for himself. clearly, the general public ante up because they want to feel special and like a sull-e-brahteeee on Facebook. adam as done some editorial work, but more than anything this just feels like a way for him to hopefully interface with more names.
2 – This campaign makes little sense to me. Shouldn’t people be TALKING!? Isn’t that why Prop 8 PASSED? Because people weren’t talking? Am I missing some bigger meaning here? Isn’t the image of trannies, twinks, and tila tequila bound and gagged precisely what proponents of the measure wanted?
Getting your pic taken is a great way to visibly showcase/show-off your support for a cause without doing any actual legwork. “For $25 bucks, you too can experience a meaningless celebrity photo op.”
so bouska is making money, getting his name out, under the guise of politicized interests. thats how it seems to me. either that or he actualy believes that having every person in hollywood (mostly q-listers mind you) will make some kind of impact that changes the minds of those who supported prop 8. yes, because not nearly enough celebutards vocally objected to the measure the first time around.
