It’s been a hot minute since Ellen Degeneres has made us laugh over our mid day dance break. Her eponymous show ended in 2022 after the unpleasantness of the pandemic made people feel she had lost touch with the people.
But her stand up career will go on, apparently. This will mark Degeneres’ second special for the platform, on the heels of 2018’s Relatable.
“There is nobody quite like Ellen,” stated Robbie Praw, VP of Stand-Up and Comedy Formats at Netflix. “She is a true legend and pioneer in so many ways. We can’t wait to bring fans another one of her hilarious comedy specials later this year.”
Stated Degeneres, “To answer the questions everyone is asking me – Yes, I’m going to talk about it. Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.”
