Before she decided to be a cheating harlot, LeAnn Rimes was married to a nice young gent named Dean Sheremet. She then decided she really wanted The D from Eddie Cibrian, he cheated on his wife to give it to her and the rest, as they say, is history. I don’t think LeAnn and Dean have spoken since their divorce, really, but the words they’re exchanging now aren’t all that friendly. Apparently LeAnn retweeted a photo of herself and Sheremet the other day, which the original poster had captioned: “Remember the good old days when @leannrimes was just a chubby country bumpkin married to a gay dude?”
To be fair, I think calling her a “chubby country bumpkin” is more offensive than the gay bit, because as Dean himself later pointed out, being gay isn’t offensive. In any case, LeAnn responded to it with a whole barrel of laughter, which Dean didn’t take too kindly to, and then LeAnn said she was only laughing at herself and then she had to clarify that she’s not homophobic and blah blah, what’s wrong with these people?
It’s been a while since LeAnn Rimes has done anything “newsworthy” (other than that whole Martin Luther King Day fiasco), and I don’t know that this counts, necessarily. However, she was forced to cancel a show in Dublin, Ireland this week after coming down with some coughing spasm that sent her to the hospital.
Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes.
She’s alright, apparently – her rep later told E! Online that she’s had a viral infection for two weeks and is recovering in her hotel room. She won’t be singing for a little while, which I’m sure everyone is super sad about, right?
In all seriousness, I don’t wish the girl any harm and hope she recovers soon.
Ugh, God, change the record already! We all know Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes don’t get along, but they have to for the sake of Eddie Cibrian‘s kids, blah blah blah. Apparently all hell broke loose again at a restaurant in Malibu on Saturday night when everyone ended up eating there accidentally. You know, because there’s only one place to go in Malibu for dinner. Anyway, the kids apparently went back and forth between Brandi’s table and LeAnn and Eddie’s and things were okay until the end of the night, when shit got ugly. Uglier than LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville put together – ZING!
After managing to avoid each other for most of the night, the new Mr. and Mrs. Cibrian stopped by Brandi’s table on their way out of the restaurant to apparently say goodbye to the kids, who had been criss-crossing from table to table during dinner.
But instead of pleasantries being exchanged, Eddie and LeAnn were “confronted by Brandi who raised her voice and glass of wine at them,” one eyewitness told Radar.
“It was so obnoxious that other people at the restaurant turned their heads to see what all the commotion was about.”
“Is that a hi or a bye,” Brandi yelled at Eddie, 40, and LeAnn, 30, according to another source.
Said the onlooker: “Brandi was holding Jake in her lap when LeAnn and Eddie walked by. It was a very awkward moment and she appeared to cause quite the scene.”
Soon after the incident, the 40-year-old took to Twitter and downplayed the confrontation.
“Just left Nobu Malibu with boys and friends, ran into boy’s dad,” Brandi wrote. “The kids love us all together so lets just stop all the BS.”
Brandi was probably drunk, so it’s whatever, but this whole thing is getting SO OLD. We get it – LeAnn’s a homewrecker and Brandi’s desperate for revenge, Blu Cantrell-style and yet it’s been YEARS and we’re still acting like it’s 2009. Let’s all move on already, damn.
In case you missed it, LeAnn Rimes is going to be on Anger Management playing a love interest for Charlie Sheen, following in the illustrious footsteps of such great, respectable actresses as… Lindsay Lohan. Can’t wait for that! (Why is this piece of shit show still on the air?) In any case, not content to torture our eyeballs just when the episode airs, she’s taken to Twitter to post a photo of herself in lingerie ahead of her appearance. KILL ME NOW.
Here’s the tweet that accompanied the photo, as well her follow-ups throughout the day:
LeAnn Rimes, one half of America’s #4 most hated couple, went to rehab last year, as you probably remember. Everyone sorta figured at the time that it was because she had an eating disorder since she had pretty much gone down to skin and bones, but she swore it was for “emotional issues” or something of the sort, if I remember right.
Anyway, since she’s running out of steam (for now) on the Brandi Glanville post-affair drama, she’s switched to talking about her time in rehab and she wants everyone to know (again): she never had an eating disorder! Yeah, okay.
From The Wendy Williams Show:
“I can honestly say, 100%, I’ve never had a problem with eating. Trust me.”
She added: “It was just stress, I mean I was really going through anxiety and stress and depression. That’s what I was going through. It was just my body’s way of dealing with it.”
Well, yeah, but anxiety and stress and depression can trigger an eating disorder. Not that I’m in a place to medically diagnose someone I’ve never met with something so serious, but that shit looked dangerous, not simply a little “I’m too busy to remember to eat lunch” problem.
Anyhoo, here’s hoping she go her shit together – she looks a lot better these days. You can watch her interview below if you feel like it.
LeAnn Rimes really doesn’t want people to like her, does she? I mean, she says she does – she keeps going on about how sorry she is and how she was so disgusted with herself for having an affair with Eddie Cibrian – but her actions prove otherwise, because now she wants a fucking TV show to tell her side of the story and hopefully get people to laugh WITH her rather than AT her. I’m rolling my eyes, here.
LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibrian are headed back to the small screen – and ready to face their critics head on.
“We’re doing a TV show based on our reality,” Rimes, 30, tells PEOPLE. “We’ll take things out of our lives and elaborate them and make them funny. People have been laughing at us – we want them to laugh with us!”
The couple, married since 2011, met on the set of Lifetime’s Northern Lights in 2008, and gained public notoriety when they fell for each other and ended their respective marriages the following year.
“For some reason, everyone is so interested in our lives but they don’t actually know about them,” Rimes says. “What they read is what they see. We want to be able to take control of our lives again so we want to do a show about us, about our lives, but scripted.”
The show has yet to secure a title or network, but the singer, whose new album, Spitfire, will be out June 4, is looking forward to working with her hubby again.
“That’s why we explored the idea of doing the show, to be able to be together.”
Does she seriously think this is a good idea? That people will watch it and that if they do get bored enough to watch it, they’ll actually think, “Huh, that LeAnn Rimes sure has had it tough. This show has really made me see the light!” ??? Shut up.
