Is Katie Holmes Being Followed?

A photo of Katie Holmes

Well, of course Katie Holmes is being followed right now. Can you imagine what the paparazzi situation is like? It seems like everyone is obsessing over this story – I even saw some super masculine, “gossip is for bitches, let’s go play ultimate frisbee” bros discussing the divorce on Facebook over the weekend. As I was reading through some stories this morning, I saw article after article about Katie and Tom. It’s a big deal. It’s only natural that the media is following her around sometimes.

But that’s not what this is about. No, apparently some dedicated Scientologists are tailing Katie. Which doesn’t sound terrifying at all:

Katie Holmes believes Scientology now views her as a threat to the organization and has put a team on her tail … sources close to the actress tell TMZ.

We’re told Katie believes in recent weeks — as the discord between her and Tom Cruisegrew — Scientology has been following her moves, especially in New York City.

This does not appear to be the mind of a paranoid person. People who have photographed Katie multiple times tell TMZ there have been several “mysterious” men and vehicles around Katie’s apartment and following her when she’s out.

Specifically … a white Cadillac Escalade and black Mercedes SUV have been seen near Katie’s NYC apartment for the past week.

FYI — there is a publication that has put a tail on Katie, but the people doing that are separate from the people Katie believes have been dispatched from Scientology.

It is unclear if the two vehicles that have been constantly spotted near Holmes’ pad are from Scientology or from the publication.

If Katie is able to keep the divorce in New York — where courts generally like to award sole legal custody to one parent or the other when there is conflict — proof that she’s being tailed could help her case.

The Church of Scientology, meanwhile, says that they’re totally not even doing that:

The Church of Scientology has responded to TMZ’s story … that Katie Holmes believes she is being followed by the Church — they say it ain’t so.

Gary Soter, lawyer for the Church, tells TMZ … the Church of Scientology is not following Katie or conducting surveillance on her in the wake of her divorce with Tom Cruise.

As we previously reported, several vehicles have been on Katie’s tail in recent weeks, but again the lawyer says the Church is not behind it.

Oh, ok! Sounds totally legit! I’ll definitely believe whatever you have to say, Scientologists, because you’ve proven yourself to be totally legit and not at all crazy time and time again! Thanks for clearing this up!

Haha, but seriously, can we get Katie Holmes on some sort of buddy system?

  • As a point of note, those wierdos do not consider Sea Org (the super-double-secret decoder-ring losers) part of the Church.

Also, they would automatically use the standard religious-nut dodge of “we didn’t know” and encourage crazies following them around.

I feel sorry for Katie, but I did the day she got married. This outcome was inevitable. Every woman tommy-girl’s got involved with after his mommy Mimi (she’s the one that got him into Scientolocrazy) has run away from the Scio-crazy.

The ‘church’ would LOVE to get Any-list actors into their group to hype what they think of as popularity. The entire world thinks they’re bonkers, but people with low self esteem will fall for it every time.

“Lookit meee! I got a seeeeecret! I’m parta somfin speeeshel. Theseeee peeeople reeeely loooove meee! I’m gonna geeet me som speshal poherz!”

Everything you know or read about … *pttuh!* I can’t even write the name without being annoyed. All LRH did was repackage everything he whined against, transparently I might add, and vomit it back into the faces of the witless.

Go read Dianetics and tell me that this wasn’t a first-year psychology book.

(As a point of interest, go to Amazon and take a look at the reviews. Everyone that isn’t an LRH-retard votes it a 1 star. All of the LRH-paid shills vote it 5 stars. It makes for interesting reading.)

Anyway, I think she’s got a reason to be worried. These people are both psychologically damaged and seriously below the median IQ. Normally I’d push it off on paranoia or self importance, but she’s likely got a point.

  • id expect they would following her to intimidate

esp. after seeing a bbc doc where they followed the journalist around really showed just how full on they are with the stalking
