I SWEAR I’ve been into them for years now. The rest of the U.S. is just catching up.
The Australian duo did a live performance of their own spin on the Jonas Bros’ “Burning Up,” and it is AWESOME.
These chicks are so talented. Love it!!!
Hey, this is an awesome cover. They sing well live, which is always a sign of true talent. I have never heard the Jonas Bros’ song before, but The Veronicas sound great singing it. If I wanted to test drive a CD by these girls, which one would you recommend?
they do have awesome voices live. that’s something i really love about them, and i agree that it shows they have real talent. i love their harmonies, too – that’s something i think really distinguishes them. they do great arrangements.
their first album, “the secret life of”, is more pop-rock and has some awesome and catchy stuff, as well as some sweeter things. “hook me up”, the more recent one, has more of an edgy techno feel. their sound’s changed a lot and you can really tell how their interests have evolved. both are good, though, so go with whichever sounds more your speed, or check out both :]

Yeah, it did. I’m not a fan of JB, so I’ve never heard their version. This cover was blah blah blah, imo. Granted, every artist has at least one suck ass song. Maybe these girls have better tracks, but wouldn’t care to dig for them after this showing.

According to Wiki they debuted in 2005 and according to their appearance they look about 17. Hardly worthy of the ‘been into them for years” type of bragging.
Yeah, that sounds about right. I started obsessing on them when I heard “Leave Me Alone,” which was on their 2005 album. That’s over 3 years ago, which is forever in music career time. I think it’s perfectly worthy. And they’re 24 years old.
I’m really not into their music but I’ve seen them live. And they deliver.

The Jonas brothers aren’t the greatest, actually they suck!
Why I hate the Veronicas:
1. When they first came out in Aus, they were over radio played. Waaaaaay over.
2. They got sued for their name so, to make it up to Archie comics, they freatured in Archie comics. Then told the world how anti-establishment they were.
3.Jess (the skinnier one) got to finger bang Ruby Rose, the single hottest thing on Australian music TV ever, and then denied it after repeat public sessions with her because they didn’t want to lose their tween audience. Which is just as stupid as when Kristiana Lokken denied her bisexuality and then came out years later and apologised. No-one cares. bisexuality is vastly underrepresented. come out already.
4. Due to said finger-banging, boyfriend of Jess, who we will call Emo McHairstyle because I cant rember his real name, got all lost and depressd in LA, and everyone though he had killed himself. Nice work cheater.
5.they just irk me.
Ummm I am pretty sure she denied it because Ruby Rose has a girlfriend. Jess makes out with chicks in the filmclip to “take me on the floor” so I don’t think “losing their tween audience” had fuck all to do with it.
I am going to go see them in Perth next weekend. I am very excited though not looking forward to all the annoying emo 12 year olds who will be there wearing far too much eyeliner

me and my friends have been huge fans of theirs for a long time. they are amazing! and soo sweet. the first time we saw them was in 2005 and they were performing with the Joe Bros lol
