Jordyn Woods Moving Out of Kylie’s House Amid Tristan Thompson Cheating Allegations

Jordyn Woods is leaning on her loved ones amid allegations she cheated with Tristan Thompson, People.com is reporting.

Previously living at her longtime BFF Kylie Jenner‘s house, Woods, 21, is now “moving back to her mom’s house,” says one insider. “It’s been a difficult time and she’s broken up about it. She’s heading home to be with her mom.”

Multiple sources previously confirmed to PEOPLE the KarJenners were “blindsided” by reports Woods was seen cozying up to Thompson over the weekend.

“When they first started hearing on Monday that Tristan made out with Jordyn, no one really believed it,” said one source. “That Tristan would be inappropriate, yes everyone knows that he can’t behave, but that Jordyn would make out with him, it first seemed like a made up rumor.”

“It wasn’t anything they wanted to drop,” the source added. “So several family members reached out to people they believed had been at the party. And they were told it was true.”

On Tuesday, TMZ and Hollywood Unlocked reported that Kardashian, 34, and the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 27, split after he was unfaithful with her youngest sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend Woods, who is also a member of the Good American squad, representing Kardashian’s clothing brand.

Woods has remained silent since the reports first broke, but Thompson tweeted, “FAKE NEWS” before deleting his post.

Is Whoopi Goldberg actually the 2019 Oscars host?

Just four days before the 2019 Oscars, social media is abuzz with speculation that “The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg has secretly been tapped to emcee the (currently hostless) broadcast.

Goldberg has been missing from “The View” for the past several weeks, due to an alleged battle with pneumonia. But alternative theories have since cropped up on Twitter, with several users suggesting that Goldberg is actually in Los Angelesto prepare for the Feb. 24 ceremony.

An ABC spokesperson, however, tells TVLine that the rumor is “absolutely false.”

“The View” co-host Joy Behar kicked off Wednesday’s show by addressing the “conspiracy theories on the internet” that Goldberg will host the Oscars. After joking that Goldberg is actually away “on maternity leave,” Behar reiterated that her colleague is indeed recovering from pneumonia and that “she’s not even well enough to host this show, much less the Oscars.”

Of course, if Goldberg did show up as the Oscars’ surprise host, it wouldn’t be her first rodeo. An Oscar winner herself for “Ghost” in 1990,Goldberg has previously emceed the ceremony four times, most recently in 2002.

Lady Gaga andChristian Carino call off their engagement

Hopefully, the third engagement’s a charm for Lady Gaga.

The “A Star Is Born” actress and her fiancé, Christian Carino, have called off their engagement, her rep confirmed to People on Tuesday.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, and Carino got together in February 2017, just months after she called off her engagement to actor Taylor Kinney. Carino was — and appears to still be — working as Gaga’s CAA agent when they coupled up.

In September 2017, Gaga, 32, gushed during one of her concerts that she was “in love” with Carino, who is nearly 20 years her senior.

Although rumors of an engagement between Gaga and Carino swirled for a while after she debuted a pink diamond ring in late 2017, the couple didn’t confirm the news until October 2018, when she thanked “my fiancé Christian” during her speech at Elle’s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration.

However, only a few months later, fans began to speculate that all wasn’t well with the couple. Rumors began to swirl that Gaga and Carino split when she didn’t wear her engagement ring to the Grammys and he didn’t go as her date.

Although she won’t be getting married yet, she’s hardly far from the shallow now.

Al Sharpton: Hold Jussie Smollett accountable if he staged attack

The Rev. Al Sharpton believes Jussie Smollett should face “accountability to the maximum” — if it’s found that he made up the hate attack against him.

The outspoken civil rights leader addressed recent reports that the alleged assault on the black, openly gay “Empire” actor may have been staged with two bodybuilding brothers, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo.

“I, among many others when hearing of the report, said that the reports were horrific and that we should come with all that we can come with in law enforcement to find out what happened and the guilty should suffer the maximum,” Sharpton said Sunday night on his show “PoliticsNation” on MSNBC.

“I still maintain that,” he continued. “And if it is that Smollett and these gentlemen did in some way perpetuate something that is not true, they ought to face accountability to the maximum.”

When news of the Jan. 29 attack against Smollett broke, Sharpton immediately spoke out to say he was “outraged.”

“For Jussie, who’s not only a superb actor and singer but an activist who has fought against homophobia and racism and sexism, to be a victim is something that is totally unacceptable,” he told TMZ last month. “I challenge the Chicago law enforcement to do all within their power to find out those that are guilty and they should face the maximum penalty of law.”

Sharpton is no stranger to racially charged hoax cases. In the late 1980s, the then-firebrand local political activist served as the spokesman for Tawana Brawley, a black 15-year-old who claimed she had been raped by six white men upstate. They scrawled racial epithets on her chest and smeared feces in her hair, she alleged.

The stunning case eventually went before a grand jury — which ruled after seven months that Brawley’s story was a total fabrication.

Chicago police said this weekend that their interviews of the Osundairo brothers — who were arrested on Wednesday but released two days later without charges — “shifted the trajectory” of their ongoing investigation.

The latest twist in the case comes as reports emerged that Smollett paid the budding actor-models $3,500 to stage the 2 a.m. attack.

Smollett has maintained that two strangers shouted racist and anti-gay slurs and “This is MAGA country!” before dousing him in a “chemical substance,” likely bleach, and throwing a noose around his neck.

Tekashi69 Getting witness protection, hopefully disappearing soon

That spunky shithead, Tekashi 69, was facing a MINIMUM of 46 years and a max of life for crazy list of charges, including racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses, narcotics trafficking and other crimes.

Now it's looking like he'll get way less after cutting a deal with feds, and possibly get released at some point only to be stashed away in Boise or Fargo.

"It is understood that the defendant's cooperation is likely to reveal the activities of individuals and that witness protection may be required at a later date." It sounds like that may be necessary, because 69's testimony implicates hardened criminals accused of extremely violent crimes.

It's ultimately up to the judge to determine sentence, but the prosecutors say if Tekashi keeps talking, he'll get a gigantic break, "should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion ... for a sentence below any mandatory minimum."

It's unclear how much time prosecutors will ask for, but it appears the number of years may be in the teens ... maybe even less.

Progressive lawmakers cheer Amazon’s HQ2 reversal

I was SHOCKED to see Amazon HQ2 pull out of their deal with NYC. But
opponents of Amazon’s plan to come to Queens were popping the champagne corks Thursday after the company made it's announcement.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called the decision a victory over “corporate greed” and over the retail giant’s billionaire founder, Jeff Bezos.

“Anything is possible,” the Bronx/Queens Democrat tweeted. “Today was a day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers & their neighbors defeated Amazon’s corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world.”

She later incorrectly claimed the $3 billion in subsidies that would have gone to Amazon could be used to hire teachers, fix the subway and “put a lot of people to work.”

But there is no $3?billion pot of money — most of it would have been in the form of future tax breaks.

Council Speaker Corey Johnson, who led the grilling of Amazon officials at two hearings, decried “vulture capitalism” and took a dig at the helicopter pad the company planned to build at its Long Island City site.

“I hope this is the start of a conversation about vulture capitalism and where our tax dollars are best spent,” he said.

“I know I’d choose mass transit over helipads any day,” he added.

His predecessor, Melissa Mark-Viverito, blasted both Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio.

“[This was] pushed through by two men who think community engagement is a joke,” said the former speaker, who is running for public advocate.

No word yet on how they'll move forward on choosing another city to plant roots. (please Philly)

George Clooney and Brad Pitt Join Call for Academy to Reverse Its Oscar Decision

The revolt stems from the decision to present four Oscar categories during commercial breaks.

A group of actors — as well as more directors, cinematographers and other filmmakers — have added their names to the open letter sent to the Film Academy and the producers of the Oscars. The letter urges the Academy to reverse its decision to present four categories during commercial breaks during the ABC broadcast of the 91st Academy Awards, which is now just 10 days away.

Those who have joined the growing revolt include helmers Alfonso Cuaron, Christopher Nolan, Michael Mann, Alejandro G. Inarritu and Guillermo del Toro, as well as actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Elizabeth Banks, Peter Dinklage and Kerry Washington.

The letter calls the Academy's decision "nothing less than an insult to those of us who have devoted our lives and passions to our chosen profession. … The vocal response from our peers and the immediate backlash from industry leaders over the Academy’s decision makes it clear that it’s not too late to have this decision reversed."

In an email to the Academy membership on Monday, Academy president John Bailey, who belongs to the cinematographers branch, laid out the plan for this year's show, including the presentation of four Oscar categories — cinematography, film editing, live-action shorts and makeup and hairstyling — during commercial breaks, with the winners' speeches set to air later in the broadcast. The plan calls for there to be a rotation each year, meaning that at least four different categories would use this format in 2020 and that the four mentioned would be exempt. (This was first announced last year but without details and specific categories.)

Bailey emphasized that the Academy is "still honoring the achievements of all 24 awards on the Oscars” while addressing pressure to shorten the broadcast (which a year ago ran 3 hours and 53 minutes).

The Academy quickly responded to the open letter on Wednesday with its own letter to members, assuring them that “no award category at the 91st Oscars ceremony will be presented in a manner that depicts the achievements of its nominees and winners as less than any others.”

The Academy also asserted that the branches of the affected categories had “volunteered” to go first this year. According to several sources, a video demonstration of what this new format will look like was shown to the various branches. It was generally described as “respectful" and included most of the presentation, minus the winner's walk to the stage.

The open letter urging a reversal of this decision was first released Wednesday and was backed by such filmmakers as Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. The letter with new names can be found here.
