Yeah. This is an actual video of LeAnn Rimes doing a cover of “Someone Like You” by Adele. I think you’ve probably only had to have read about one other sentence on this whole blog to realize that this is possibly the wrongest thing that’s ever happened. Sure, I don’t think LeAnn’s vocals are atrocious or horrible or anything but … this is Adele here. You don’t touch that. Especially when you’re this girl.

As always, this is a safe place, so feel free to let out your feelings on this. No judgement, just acceptance.

That was pretty good. Her voice is not as raw or unique as Adele’s, but it’s a good song sung by a good singer, so, yeah, I enjoyed it…

I liked it. I’m a fan of Adele’s and not of LeAnne and I don’t like the choices LeAnn has made with her personal life, but she sang well and with emotion, emotion that I found lacking in Adele’s Paris video.

  3. AC says:

I’m surprised she did this – wasn’t she worried the song would make her voice look fat?

  4. Anonymous says:

lol @ how desperate she comes off hitting high notes. ‘I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..’

  5. Huronlad says:

A souless version of a great song.

  6. Janem says:

Yeah I forgot how good a singer LeAnn was. And concerning the high notes, though I like the song very much, I always found the high notes (of Adele) a little off and screechy. Sorry.

See now I’m not a big fan of LeAnn but I think she did a pretty good job…emotions and all!

  10. lisa says:

LeAnn has such a good voice, this was nice to hear!

  11. L says:

Did she snap in two shortly after?

Good cover. High notes sounds off… like Adele’s!

  12. mama said knock you out says:

leann wishes so bad this was her own song, then the public would love & forgive her. the lyrics sound like something eddie’s ex-wife would say…funny…bad choice once again, mizz rimes.

  13. mk says:

Wow – not really a fan of leann rimes but I enjoyed this! Really impressed that she sang it in the same key as Adele’s album version, including all the high notes. When Adele does it live she sings it lower. Leann really put a lot of emotion into it as well.

Have to say that when her relationship with Eddie reaches its inevitable end, I hope some good music comes out of it – she’s certainly capable.
