Gigi Hadid dismissed as juror in Harvey Weinstein’s trial

No surprises here.  Model Gigi Hadid was in court today to serve her American duty as a juror on a case chosen at random and just happened to be the Harvey Weinstein case. She's been officially dismissed. The 24-year-old Victoria’s Secret model strolled into Manhattan Supreme Court on the eighth day of jury selection but was excused and left just 15 minutes later. Hadid strutted out of the courthouse wearing her hair in a bun, gray jeans and clutching a Hermes bag. The famed catw...

‘Mindhunter’ likely not returning

This is a major bummer for me.  I was a big fan of the crime drama from Netflix called 'Mindhunter'.  It was based on the true book about the creation of serial kill profiling and featured actors playing real serial killers from history while 2 feds picked through the recesses of their warped minds. Now word is out that 5 months after the release of the second season, the streaming channel let the lead actors options (their contracts) lapse without resigning them.  A sure sign no 3rd se...

‘Punky Brewster’ is heading back to your TV

Remember Punky? And that dog, Comet? And those clothes? Ugh. Well it's coming back. With a more mature look. NBC has ordered a pilot of Punky Brewster starring the original Punky,  Soleil Moon Frye!  She'll play Punky all grown up and likely spewing out lessons to others, as Punky is known to do. “I am beyond thrilled and honored to be bringing Punky back! I’m grateful to our NBCUniversal Content Studios and Peacock family and to our incredible team of creators, writers, produce...

The 70-year-old rocker and Patti, 66, sat in the front row as Sam, 26, was sworn into the newest class at City Hall during a ceremony with Mayor Steven Fulop.

JoJo Siwa buys $3.4m Tarzana home to store her bows

I'll admit that I haven't the foggiest idea what the appeal is of JoJo Siwa.  I barely know where she came from other than friends tell me she was a Dance Mom's creation.   I just know she's 16 now and the crazy face paint and bows in her hair are keeping her creepily adolescent. That said, bravo! You're barely into double digit ages and you've bought a mansion in Los Angeles! Tarzana, to be exact. The Mediterranean-style home is over 6,000 square feet of living space, including a grand double-height foyer with marble floors and an elegantly curved staircase. There’s a gourmet kitchen with two islands, high-end appliances and an adjacent family room with a jet black fireplace.   6 beds, 7 baths, all for $3.43 million. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2020 inductees announced

Before we start, just let that whole "that's not rock and roll' shit go.  They've been inducting non rock and roll artists in the the HoF for years.  Lets just call it the modern music Hall of Fame. So Whitney Houston finally made it!  Ten years since she was made eligible, the woman known in the industry as "The Voice" has finally been inducted! Also joining music’s exclusive club — for which artists become eligible 25 years after their debut album — are Depeche Mode, the Doobie...

MSNBC signing Fox News host Shepard Smith and bumping Chuck Todd?

[caption id="attachment_182235" align="aligncenter" width="500"][caption id="attachment_182235" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Shepard Smith[/caption] If you're not already tweeked by the Vince Vaughn news, I have more political/entertainment cross over gossip. Seems MSNBC is seriously considering bumping fan fav Chuck Todd's 5pm MTP Daily slot on the network to make room for former Fox News host Shepard Smith. Todd would move to a morning segment in the shakeup. 'It's unclear what slot he [Smith] would take, but we'd want him in prime time,' an ...

Vince Vaughn socializing with Donald Trump is freaking people out

I've been a groupie of Vince Vaughns for a long time.  I wasn't a fan of Swingers (gasp!) but I'm a sucker for a smart ass over 6 foot and he has that in spades.  I've known for a long time that he was a republican, but this is really our first confirmation of the alliance. Vaughn was at the NCAA College Football Championship game in New Orleans on Monday night when Florida-based journalist Timothy Burke caught the actor on video chatting with Trump and Melania for about a minut...

Koala’s hanging around NYC encourage wildfire donations

Almost as adorable a campaign as the fires are tragic, the folks are WIRE (Australia's Wildlife Rescue group) has found a heart-tugging way to get people's attention on the massive devastation going on down under. WIRES CEO Leanne Taylor over saw the project that hung plush koala bears on poles all over the city of New York. The gentle toys are to remind people that over a billion animals have died (30% of which are koala's) in the fires that are still raging after 3 months.   They also encourage people to go to the Koala's of NY  Gofundme page to donate and to follow them on Instagram. I have personally been tortured by the thought of all the animals sacrificed in this monster fire and immediately found a way to financially help, since here in the States, I'm otherwise useless.

Today it's the quirky actor DJ Qualls, who broke on to the scene in "Road Trip" and then has since been a guest on like every show out.  From "Lost" to Man in "H...
