Zayn Malik split from Perrie Edwards earlier this year after about four years or so together (don’t quote me on the timeline – I’m too lazy to go back and check; they were together for a long time, that’s all I know) and Gigi Hadid dated Joe Jonas on and off for a while, but now they’re both single and ready to mingle… apparently with one another. At least, that’s what the media wants us to believe. The photos that have emerged of them hanging out ever since the American Music Awards last weekend look a little too staged for my liking, but hey, I guess that’s fun?

A source tells E! News that while it’s too soon to call the model and singer a couple, they’re definitely spending some quality time together lately.
“They are just friends and are casually hanging out,” the insider explains. “She is not looking to jump into another relationship so soon. Gigi is a relationship-type kinda girl, but she wants to just have some fun and take time for herself and her career at the moment. Zayn is good friend of Selena Gomez and her whole gang of friends.”

Bella and Gigi arrived together first and Malik then met them separately, but, contrary to other reports, a source tells PEOPLE “it wasn’t a date and there wasn’t any PDA.”
“They all had a fun time, but it didn’t seem romantic or like a date,” adds the source.
I’m sure they’re having a lovely time having sex with each other hanging out.
