Hef is apparently trying some accounting games to get around the alimony. He is also “renting” the mansion to dodge the property taxes. The mansion is the corporation’s and written off as a business expense for the parties, etc.
I think it is interesting that he is trying to divorce his wife now. Apparently, someone told him that she, as his legal wife, would get the estate when he dies. So he is trying to cut his losses for his heirs by divorcing her now.
