OK. I dyed my hair black. I have an appointment to get bangs cut in on Wednesday, and I have made a note of every time I use the word “like,” just so you guys know I’m aware of it. Does that take care of all recent complaints and related hate-mail? I think yes. My goal in life is to make others happy, ya know?
Also: How do you get black hair dye off of white plaster walls? Just curious.
Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It takes everything off walls, but don’t rub too hard, or the paint will start to come off.

And I’m loving the new hair (I did almost that same shade a coupla months ago – I found that a bleach-cleaner that you leave on the surface for a few hours works well for getting hair dye out. At least you didn’t go red – I’ve done that in the past and my bathroom has looked like a murder scene)

OHHHH!!! Love the hair. I’m personally getting strawberry blonde streaks in a couple of weeks and was considering getting bangs as well since I also have a disproportionately large forehead but decided against it in the end. My stylist said that because I have oily skin it would make me break out in pimples and my bangs would look greasy all the time. Oh well…you should post a before and after picture. I want to see what you look like with bangs!

if you do get the bangs, DEF go for the side-swept ones rather than blunt. blunt will KILL your face, and you have such pretty bone structure.
oh, and unless your apartment complex uses good latex paint (they never do), those really are forever stains :/ just ask your apt office for a little bit of touch-up paint- it’s a normal request after a move, as lots of people scratch the walls with furniture, etc.

Can you paint the walls? I am a hair stylist and most color fades off of anything with time… Mr Clean Eraser, Bleach Spray, Comet, that works on my tile, tub and floor.

I dyed my hair black at home for about 7 years. I used Herbal Essences towards the end – and anything that was cheap before that.
I went to get it a little lightened and IT ALL BURNT OFF. Its because the at home black hair dyes contain LEAD and it reacts when you are trying to get it off.
May hair is shooooooooort now and I am still tying to grow it out.

black hair dye is kind of funky- if you keep home-dyeing it black, you’ll need to go to a pro when you decide to change your color so they can lift it. it looks so great, though- just talk to a pro about it someitme. they should be able to help you out when the time comes.

Use a little bit of the the leftover dye on the stuff on the wall. It will reactivate the dye and allow you to simply wash it off!

Be careful with the bangs (we call it a fringe where I come from) because it looks like your hair might rebel and want to keep parting in the middle. Mine grows definitely and decidedly forward and when I tried to grow my fringe (bangs) out I kept ending up with a mouthful of hair. I gave up and am resigned to the fringe now.

And speaking as a girl with a big forehead, get the bangs. Side-swept will probably look the best, but straight-cut can look good, too.

i know this is kind of obvious but why not just paint the walls? i know it’s alot of work for just a few black marks but at least you wont have to look at them.
you remind me a kara dioguardi the way you talk. the hair looks great. nail polish remover always worked for me on tile and laminate flooring. dont know about plaster though
White-Out? It worked for me when I had to cover up bathroom mold.
That is so simple & brilliant. Does that really work? If so, I’m going home to paint my tile grout. Well, not tonight, because it’s my birthday, but maybe tomorrow.
Make a paste with white vinegar and baking soda. It should be a little less thick than toothpates.
Spread it over the stains and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
Scrub it off with a stiff brush and rinse with hot water.
It SHOULD work.
Toothpates? Is that a very fancy new dish? Made from the teeth of.. horses? Cows? Mmm, toothpates.

the only thing I’ve ever gotten to work was one of those cleaning sponges that are half white/half blue. I forget what they’re called but the white side cleans up about anything! …sometimes fingernail polish remover works also.
Nail polish remover (or just plain acetone, which you can buy from any beauty supply store) usually does the trick. Welcome to the black hair club! :) It looks really cute.
Stunning! As for the bangs….start out with longer side bangs…and if you like, go shorter a little at a time. It will still be a nice change, but less commitment..

I was worried at 1st because I didn’t think I’d like it, but just like everyone has said, it really does looks fantastic.
I’m also on the fence about the bangs. I think that they will probable look great because you are such a cutie pie but they are a pain to train at 1st. (especially side swept one’s) So I hope you have the patience, I didn’t.

Zap primer, the dye may bleed through plain white paint. If you cannot find zap, ask someone in the paint section for something that will work just as well. Like the black hair, looks good with your skin color, not sure about bangs though.. you may want to think about it a bit more first. Post a follow up if you do. GL
