Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank you to moms everywhere for pushing us all out of your vaginas. I could do without the guilt trips or off-hand comments on how I look in my bikini, but that whole giving me life, love, and support thing is pretty awesome. I hope my mom enjoys the travel cooler I got her for her car. It refrigerates and heats (swanky!) and should come in really handy on road trips with the grandson or emergency organ transplant deliveries. Other than playing iphone games that pay real money, I’m not really sure what her hobbies are these days.

I also hope she isn’t taking it too hard that I still haven’t confirmed her as a friend on Facebook. I love you mom, but for the good of the entire family, there are some lines that just shouldn’t be crossed.

Happy Mother’s Day!

  • I just added my dad. I freaked out for a minute, but then I realized that I am not a teenager anymore, and my parents are pretty aware of my life anyway.

I amazingly actually watched SNL last night for the first time in years. The mother lover thing was hilarious. I love Susan Saradon and Patricia Clarkson. Too funny.

  • I used to absolutely hate Justin Timberlake, but after seeing his SNL skits, and certain interviews, his sense of humor has really made him grow on me

  • OMG, LOLOLOL i can’t beleive that I missed that last night, but then again I had to work WAH! I need to catch that on a rerun. Anyway when i first saw that it was a new song, i thought nothing could beat “dick in a box” but this was HILARIOUS! even better!
    thanks kelly for posting that.

  • Oh, I do have my mom as a friend of facebook. And I totally regret it, ha. But if I delete her now, she’ll know! Damn it. That whole ‘Thank you for pushing us out of your vaginas’ thing was really funny, hahaha! You made me smile darling :).

  • i added my mom on facebook… she tags me with photos of when we go out to the bar. thanks mom!

  • lol i loved this post, that was very funny Kelly. And the video was funny as well.

    Happy mother’s day everybody!

  • This vid is so genius.

And I don’t think I could convince either of my parents to join Facebook if I paid them. That’s a good thing.

    • Haha, same here. My mother says she doesn’t trust it, which I think is hilarious. But they don’t really need to be on Facebook anyway so I’m okay with it.

  • Mother’s Day in the UK is in March some time, but my husband is American, so I have to remember two Mother’s Days a year! Still, after the sprogling is born (sometime this week, fingers crossed), maybe I’ll get breakfast in bed on two Mother’s Days!

  • Can I share with you the comment a friend of mine made on Mother’s Day to her 5&8 year old… “the mother’s day present mummy would like the best is if you just left me alone”.
    LOL LOL LOL.
