Redmond O’Neal, the son of actors Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett, was arrested this morning on charges of trying to smuggle drugs into a county jail, adding to his long history of drug arrests.
The arrest came during a routine security check in the parking lot of Pitchess Detention South Facility in Santa Clarita around 9:30 this morning, said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. O’Neal, 24, had apparently come to the facility to visit an inmate. He told sheriff’s deputies before the search began that he had drugs on him, Whitmore added.
He was taken into custody and bail was set at $25,000, according to the sheriff’s website. It was not yet known whether O’Neal posted bail.
How many drugs arrests is this now, kiddo? What the fuck were you thinking, bringing drugs to a prison? Are you out of your goddamn mind? Is it making anything easier?
Cut this out. Break the cycle here. Get your shit together and be present for your mom right now. If she’s gonna die, let her do so knowing her son is sober and healthy and by her side. It doesn’t have to go down like this. It’s your call.

I think that naming a kid with red hair redmond and all the jokes it led to traumatizing him as a kid is clearly why he is on drugs today.
Didn’t this kid kill Francis Ford Coppola’s son? He’s pretty much a hopeless case considering he has the world’s worst father, Look how well he treated Tatum. Just goes to show you what having a narcissistic parent can do to a child.
I agree about Ryan. I think that he turned every one of his children plus Farrah on to hard drugs. Why does each of his children perpetually have exactly the same unhappy looks on their faces?
Why do the LA police not bust these rich, famous fools? Is it the OJ syndrome, the cops feel cool to associate with these sparkly bits of human eye candy, so they never get busted unless they do something that gets captured on a police camera, and then they get a bail that’s less than one weeks’ drug supply?
If Mel Gibson had been an anonymous black person when he pulled his drunken tirade when he was pulled over for DUI, he would have gotten tased. Black people in this country get shot to death when they are sitting quietly, unarmed, obeying police orders while, after decades of pulling guns on people, Phil Spector finally pulled the trigger while his gun just happened to be in the mouth of a woman who was a guest in his home and and he now sits comfortably in his own home trying on new, hideous wigs for each court date. We’re the land of the rich and the free.

Griffin O’Neal killed Gian-Carlo Cappola, not Redmond. Terrific family, Griffin is also a hopeless addict. I wonder why Ryan doesn’t have Redmond in treatment every time he tests dirty, or in treatment long term, like 18 months minimum? It seems that just letting this booger eater mooch around the house with nothing to do, is going to lead back to using no matter what a person has to work or go to school not just sit around the house thinking about getting high. You have to be either the stupidest person, Darwin Award worthy to bring dope to a jail, especially if you are a known addict. The cops must have jumped for glee at such an easy bust.

Ryan is an asshole. I feel so bad for Tatum having to walk in on her father banging her best friend when she was only a kid. Disgusting. And I wouldn’t be at all suprised if Ryan was the one that turned his kids on to drugs, we all know Mackenzie Phillips dad did.
