Farrah Fawcett Hospitalized

Farrah Fawcett

Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized and is in critical but stable condition in an L.A. area hospital. The former Angel has been battling anal cancer since 2006 and recently returned from Germany where she was undergoing an experimental stem cell treatment. She seems to be in pretty bad shape, and has been unconscious for days. Family are gathering at her bedside, including her long-time significant other, Ryan O’Neal, and son Redmond.

  • I really really want someone to tell me how to NOT get anal cancer. I can’t think of a cancer I’d less enjoy. So sad to think of Farah Fawcett even getting old, let alone dying! She was my hero when I was about 6 years old.

  • Ugh, how sad. What a complicated life this beautiful and talented woman has had. I hope that her death (I know, I’m anticipating, but I’ve seen people in “critical but stable condition” in ICUs) won’t completely destabilize her already unstable son. And considering that his father is an aging, cancer-suffering, drug addict who helps his son violate his parole, you wonder how on earth this young man can turn his life around.

  • Isn’t this what sharon osbourne had [and recoverd from thankfully]

It’s so hard to think of a charlie’s angle, esp. farah who seems when i look back on them to have been the star of the show. I remember looking at re runs of the shows when i was a child & thinking how cool the 70s must have been.

let’s hope for the best for them all.

    • I’m pretty sure Sharon Osborne had colon cancer.

I do hope and pray this doesn’t throw her poor messed up son into a tailspin.

  • That’s pretty sad. I feel bad for her. When you need your family the most, you have a cracked out asshole of a son (who probably blames his parents for all his problems) and a life partner on-again-off-again hardcore drinker and dabbler of drugs sitting beside you. She will end up in a much better place than she is now.

  • thank you kelly for posting such a lovely photo of someone i admired in my youth and ultimately respected as i got older because she lived through alot of shit. and did it well. i hope she finally achieves some peace.

  • That is so sad! she is a great actress and overall a great person. I hope everything works out with that stemcell treatment and I hope she wins her battle.

  • anal cancer if you research, is contracted highly through multiple sexual partners because of contracting HPV. i wonder did Farrah do all of Hollywood?
