Wow, you guys! LeAnn Rimes just did her first interview since she’s been “out” of “rehab,” isn’t that great? She talks about a lot of important stuff, like turning 30, being in therapy, and how hard Twitter can be. Let’s just go ahead and hear what she has to say, all right?
On therapy: “I’ve been in therapy my whole life. I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life. Everyone has an opinion of how I am and how I should be, and now I’m focusing on how I want to be.”
On her age: “I had some wonderful times in my 20s, but your 20s are hard. It was a lot of learning experiences … and a lot were thrown at me publicly. I was ready to embrace 30.”
On social networking: “I think it’s really hard to deal with Twitter and Facebook and all these social media outlets. And it’s hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don’t even know says about you. As much as you said you don’t want it to penetrate, it does, because you’re human.”
On tape: “I have felt like I’ve had a piece of tape over my mouth the last four years. I wanted to start the next 30 years of my life on a great foot.”
“It’s really hard to deal with Twitter,” LeAnn actually said those words with her mouth. You know how you make Twitter easier? You stop using Twitter. Because no one needs to use Twitter. But do you know how many tweets LeAnn has made in the past day? Eighteen. Eighteen whole tweets. That’s more tweets than I’ve tweeted all year. If it’s hard, and you don’t need to do it, then don’t do it. Why do I even have to explain this?
Also, what’s she talking about with the “I have felt like I’ve had a piece of tape over my mouth the last four years”? Obviously, I thought she was talking about Eddie Cibrian, but they only started hooking up in 2009. OR DID THEY?

Let’s see, LeAnn Rimes went into rehab at the very end of August. She spent about a week giving lots of quotes about being in rehab, but by September 7th, she was out doing concerts. A couple of weeks later, she was still doing shows outside of rehab, and just yesterday, she tweeted this picture of her face looking pretty different than it used to look.
But you guys, in the middle of all that business, she managed to complete rehab! Yay, LeAnn!
LeAnn Rimes walked the red carpet with her family Thursday night and RadarOnline.comhas exclusively learned that she has completed her treatment for “stress” and “anxiety.”
The 30-year-old singer entered a treatment facility in August to cope with her issues, many of which she claimed stemmed from her on-line Twitter battles with people critical of her marriage to Eddie Cibrian.
Her rep told RadarOnline.com that her stint at the center was complete, saying “Yes she has finished her stay at the treatment facility.”
During her stay at the facility LeAnn was permitted to leave on several occasions for work engagements and recently attended the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s Songwriter’s Music Series in Napa, Calif.
As RadarOnline.com has been reporting, the country singer became so angry at one of her Twitter followers, she phoned her to give her a piece of her mind.
The call was allegedly recorded and subsequently ended up online, and now LeAnn is suing the woman, a teacher, for invasion of privacy.
And even though we’ve also reported that LeAnn’s husband Eddie “hates Twitter and doesn’t want LeAnn to be on there and writing so much,” she has been sporadically writing on the social media site since beginning treatment.
“Family time!” she wrote on her Twitter page on Friday.
What was even the point of the whole “rehab” storyline in LeAnn’s life? It didn’t gain her any sympathy, like, at all. It doesn’t really make sense that it was just an excuse for her to be hidden away while getting plastic surgery, because she never really went away. I think we can all agree that LeAnn’s rehab is bullshit, but for what reason?

And it’s not just the cat ears, guys.
So yeah. “Rehab,” huh? Are we sure we didn’t do a little housekeeping while away? A little facial-freshening? Because something definitely, definitely looks quite different, and I just can’t put my finger on what it is.
Thoughts? Is LeAnn tidying up on the DL? Am I even allowed to say “DL” anymore, or has that become passé?

Because even though all of the things I’m hearing about are “post-rehab,” last I heard, she was checking herself into rehab on September 1st, and planned to stay for thirty days. Now, today’s the twenty-second, and she was out on a tour break for a few days somewhere between the first and today, so thirty days of BIG, INTENSIVE TREATMENT? Somehow I seriously doubt that happened. Unless she discovered an old DeLorean and a case of plutonium, to boot.
If you remember, LeAnn checked herself into rehab to recenter herself, and sources say that she did it to learn “new coping mechanisms,” which sounds like a bunch of sugared-up, flowery BS to me. From Us Weekly:
After Rimes decided to get help, her rep told Us Weekly she was in treatment to “learn and develop coping mechanisms” for stressful situations. But a source close to Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, told Us, “LeAnn has had major insecurity issues since she first got together with Eddie [in 2009].” At the time, Cibrian was still married to Brandi Glanville and Rimes was still married to chef Dean Sheremet.
“She’s been stressed about always being called a home-wrecker and also worried that Eddie is cheating on her,” the insider explained. “She’s been on a downward spiral.”
I don’t know, guys. I think we still have a pretty sick girl here on our hands, and boppin’ in and out of rehab for emotional counseling just isn’t going to cut it when it comes to receiving the treatment that she really, really needs.
Welcome … back?

So we’re all aware that LeAnn Rimes went to rehab, yes? I mean, aside from leaving a week in to play a circuit of shows in the Midwest, LeAnn’s totally committed to getting well, and working out her debilitating self-esteem and trust issues, right? Well because Brandi Glanville, LeAnn’s husband‘s ex-wife, is doing her part to make sure that LeAnn stays in the clinic for as long as possible. What’s she doing, you might ask? Well, this. On Twitter:
I’m NOT cheating with. Y ex husband I would never do that #EWWWWWW
Which, of course, translates into “I’m NOT cheating with. Y ex husband I would never do that but I want LeAnn to think it’s a possibility so it might drive her even crazier, beyotches. #BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRN.
Earlier in the week, Brandi claimed that she was in LeAnn’s rehab corner, saying that it’s best that a delusional, paranoid woman stays far, far away from her children:
“I totally support LeAnn’s decision to enter rehab. My top priority is my children and at the end of the day we are a family. LeAnn is their stepmom, and they love her. I am wishing her all the best and I hope she will find what she is looking for while in rehab.”
Which also means what I said up there, plus the fact that she’s worried about the danger an unstable woman might pose in her children’s lives. Which is probably why she, herself, doesn’t hang out with those kids much, anyway.
Good lookin’ out, Brandi!

LeAnn Rimes said she couldn’t ignore “the elephant in the room” on Friday night, and she wanted all her fans to know that she’s doing well after checking herself into treatment on Aug. 29 to deal with anxiety and stress.
“I’m totally cool and so happy; I think I’m about to cry,” Rimes told the crowd at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center in Eau Claire, Wis. “Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.”
Rimes, 30, performed an impressive 14-song, 70-minute concert on Friday, giving fans a taste of new material that foregrounds personal turmoil in her lyrics.
Oh, so she’s out of rehab and she’s performing mini-concerts, then, huh? Gosh. Rehab works wonders, guys. Some feats never cease to amaze me, for real.
Investigating LeAnn‘s early departure a little more, I learned that she’s headed back to rehab already—but not until after she performs a “series of concerts” in the Midwest over the coming weeks. Because apparently, shows couldn’t be postponed. And LeAnn just couldn’t check into rehab after the shows were over, no.
No, the “real” reason that LeAnn supposedly left early, non-refundable tickets aside, was because she’s too busy worrying about her husband, Eddie Cibrian, and that he’ll cheat on her while she’s in rehab. From Us Weekly:
“She’s been stressed about always being called a home-wrecker and also worried that Eddie is cheating on her. She’s been on a downward spiral.”
And even her childhood mentor, Bill Mack, the dude who discovered LeAnn Rimes, says that “Hollywood’s changed [LeAnn] for the worse.” He continues by saying that she craves attention, and she’s getting it for all the wrong reasons. Bill says, “LeAnn is a beautiful girl with an incredible voice, but recently she’s getting attention for all the wrong reasons like breaking up a marriage, eating disorders and now going to rehab.” He continues by bashing her looks. “Her appearance alone is cause for concern as she looks much older than 30-year-old; she doesn’t look healthy anymore,” Bill says. “She made good money, but she didn’t have the love and support she needed and she had a lot anger bottled up inside, which is now starting to affect her both physically and mentally.”
So maybe she should, I don’t know, get back to rehab and finish the damn thing?
