LeAnn Rimes Looks … Different

And it’s not just the cat ears, guys.

So yeah. “Rehab,” huh? Are we sure we didn’t do a little housekeeping while away? A little facial-freshening? Because something definitely, definitely looks quite different, and I just can’t put my finger on what it is.

Thoughts? Is LeAnn tidying up on the DL? Am I even allowed to say “DL” anymore, or has that become passé?

Oh, You Mean You Didn’t Know LeAnn Rimes Was Still Not Back in Rehab?

Because even though all of the things I’m hearing about are “post-rehab,” last I heard, she was checking herself into rehab on September 1st, and planned to stay for thirty days. Now, today’s the twenty-second, and she was out on a tour break for a few days somewhere between the first and today, so thirty days of BIG, INTENSIVE TREATMENT? Somehow I seriously doubt that happened. Unless she discovered an old DeLorean and a case of plutonium, to boot.

If you remember, LeAnn checked herself into rehab to recenter herself, and sources say that she did it to learn “new coping mechanisms,” which sounds like a bunch of sugared-up, flowery BS to me. From Us Weekly:

After Rimes decided to get help, her rep told Us Weekly she was in treatment to “learn and develop coping mechanisms” for stressful situations. But a source close to Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, told Us, “LeAnn has had major insecurity issues since she first got together with Eddie [in 2009].” At the time, Cibrian was still married to Brandi Glanville and Rimes was still married to chef Dean Sheremet.

“She’s been stressed about always being called a home-wrecker and also worried that Eddie is cheating on her,” the insider explained. “She’s been on a downward spiral.”

I don’t know, guys. I think we still have a pretty sick girl here on our hands, and boppin’ in and out of rehab for emotional counseling just isn’t going to cut it when it comes to receiving the treatment that she really, really needs.

Welcome … back?

Brandi Glanville Wants to Keep LeAnn Rimes in Rehab FOREVER

So we’re all aware that LeAnn Rimes went to rehab, yes? I mean, aside from leaving a week in to play a circuit of shows in the Midwest, LeAnn’s totally committed to getting well, and working out her debilitating self-esteem and trust issues, right? Well because Brandi Glanville, LeAnn’s husband‘s ex-wife, is doing her part to make sure that LeAnn stays in the clinic for as long as possible. What’s she doing, you might ask? Well, this. On Twitter:

I’m NOT cheating with. Y ex husband I would never do that #EWWWWWW

Which, of course, translates into “I’m NOT cheating with. Y ex husband I would never do that but I want LeAnn to think it’s a possibility so it might drive her even crazier, beyotches. #BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRN.

Earlier in the week, Brandi claimed that she was in LeAnn’s rehab corner, saying that it’s best that a delusional, paranoid woman stays far, far away from her children:

“I totally support LeAnn’s decision to enter rehab. My top priority is my children and at the end of the day we are a family. LeAnn is their stepmom, and they love her. I am wishing her all the best and I hope she will find what she is looking for while in rehab.”

Which also means what I said up there, plus the fact that she’s worried about the danger an unstable woman might pose in her children’s lives. Which is probably why she, herself, doesn’t hang out with those kids much, anyway.

Good lookin’ out, Brandi!

LeAnn Rimes is Out of Rehab Already and Everything’s Totally Fine Now

From People:

LeAnn Rimes said she couldn’t ignore “the elephant in the room” on Friday night, and she wanted all her fans to know that she’s doing well after checking herself into treatment on Aug. 29 to deal with anxiety and stress.

“I’m totally cool and so happy; I think I’m about to cry,” Rimes told the crowd at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center in Eau Claire, Wis. “Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.”

Rimes, 30, performed an impressive 14-song, 70-minute concert on Friday, giving fans a taste of new material that foregrounds personal turmoil in her lyrics.

Oh, so she’s out of rehab and she’s performing mini-concerts, then, huh? Gosh. Rehab works wonders, guys. Some feats never cease to amaze me, for real.

Investigating LeAnn‘s early departure a little more, I learned that she’s headed back to rehab already—but not until after she performs a “series of concerts” in the Midwest over the coming weeks. Because apparently, shows couldn’t be postponed. And LeAnn just couldn’t check into rehab after the shows were over, no.

No, the “real” reason that LeAnn supposedly left early, non-refundable tickets aside, was because she’s too busy worrying about her husband, Eddie Cibrian, and that he’ll cheat on her while she’s in rehab. From Us Weekly:

“She’s been stressed about always being called a home-wrecker and also worried that Eddie is cheating on her. She’s been on a downward spiral.”

And even her childhood mentor, Bill Mack, the dude who discovered LeAnn Rimes, says that “Hollywood’s changed [LeAnn] for the worse.” He continues by saying that she craves attention, and she’s getting it for all the wrong reasons. Bill says, “LeAnn is a beautiful girl with an incredible voice, but recently she’s getting attention for all the wrong reasons like breaking up a marriage, eating disorders and now going to rehab.” He continues by bashing her looks. “Her appearance alone is cause for concern as she looks much older than 30-year-old; she doesn’t look healthy anymore,” Bill says. “She made good money, but she didn’t have the love and support she needed and she had a lot anger bottled up inside, which is now starting to affect her both physically and mentally.”

So maybe she should, I don’t know, get back to rehab and finish the damn thing?

LeAnn Rimes’ Friend Makes a Statement About LeAnn Rimes in Rehab

From People:

After just a week in treatment for anxiety and stress, LeAnn Rimes is making strides in tackling her emotional issues.

“She’s already feeling better, stronger,” a friend of the country star tells PEOPLE in its new issue.

LeAnn checked herself into rehab last week, right after her thirtieth birthday, and initially made this statement about her hospitalization:

“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much. I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”

She followed that up with this when People asked her to elaborate on her rehab stay:

“I’m happy and healthy. I just want to be happier and healthier more consistently. I don’t want to wake up and not truly be enjoying my life and these amazing things around me.”

Man. This is an awful lot of statements about one woman’s decision to check out of life for a little while to focus on healing some long-open sores. It’s no wonder she’s in rehab, jeez.

Can we start taking bets on how many women Eddie‘s going to bang while LeAnn’s away? Two? Four? Three and an ex-wife?

Quotables: LeAnn Rimes’ Harasser Makes a Statement

photo of leann rimes pictures photos statement pics

“I plan to take my own action against her. This could impact my family and business. Somebody needs to stand up or LeAnn will continue doing this for the rest of her life. I have a right to my opinion. I have never bullied her. She blocked me on Twitter and then I took my account private, so how can I bully her if I’m blocked AND have a private account? It makes no sense. People who don’t like her have a right to their opinion. She’s a public figure. But I have never bullied her. … My daughter was in tears over the lawsuit. This could affect her future employment. She called ME. She was trying to berate me into liking her. When she didn’t get her way she got frustrated. She called me ‘incredibly f***ing rude.’ She was really mad. I guess she is used to people bowing down to her but I’m not that kind of person. She’s not used to people standing their ground. One of her people said I was sending derogatory tweets to her for years. That’s false. I was not expecting her phone call and I didn’t even answer the phone the first time she tried to call. Then she texted me to answer the phone. I was worried but I did. It seemed odd that she was calling me.”

Again, I’m going to stand by my original statement that LeAnn, apparently, has some emotional and possibly mental issues. Which is why she’s probably in rehab as we speak (if she’s still in rehab, and not pretending to be so she could peep what Eddie does “on his own time”).

This lady, if she’s as intelligent as she claims to be (she’s a teacher, I believe, though that’s kind of a moot point in this situation—or really, in any situation), should know not to provoke someone who’s going to pursue vengeance upon them and who has a history of being … well, of being a little off. No, it sounds to me that this Smiley woman knew exactly what she was doing, and she was probably well aware of what might come out of it.

Team LeAnn, though I can’t believe I’m even saying that.

And LeAnn Rimes is Suing “Smiley” and Co. Now

From TMZ:

LeAnn Rimes just filed a lawsuit against two women she claims illegally taped a conversation with her and then spread it across the Internet.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the suit … filed in L.A. County Superior Court. Rimes alleges Kimberly Smiley and Lexi Smiley are supporters of Brandi Glanville — Eddie Cibrian’s ex — and engaged in a campaign to trash her when she hooked up the with Eddie.

This Spring, LeAnn claims she called Kimberly in an attempt to stop the negative Internet activity. During the conversation, LeAnn says she attempted to be kind and said she wanted peace.

LeAnn alleges Kimberly and Lexi illegally and secretly recorded the conversation and then released out-of-context excerpts, painting her in a “false and negative light.” They also allegedly made statements that LeAnn was “crazy and delusional.”

LeAnn is suing for invasion of privacy.

Well first, I don’t mean to sound all negative and stuff (I know, right?), but I think this is precisely the thing that LeAnn might be wanting to avoid focusing on, what with being self-hospitalized for anxiety and stress, you know? I can’t imagine a lawsuit to be very restful and relaxing, even though it’s being handled by her managers and stuff. What a mess.

Also, because she’s suing for “invasion of privacy” and not something like “libel” or “slander,” it leads me to believe that the story we ran yesterday about LeAnn’s erratic, rehab-prompting behavior (both in person and on the phone) is completely and entirely true. Which I thought to be the case from the get-go, but no matter how much you “dislike” a celebrity, I don’t think really anyone ever wants to see someone go through this kind of crap, you know?

Get well, LeAnn—and get the hell away from those who just aren’t healthy for you. HINT HINT.
