Lark Voorhies’ Facebook Husband Is A Wanted Man

Lark Voorhies, AKA Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell, has had quite the year. I don’t mean acting-wise, of course. She hasn’t had “quite the year” in the same way that, say, Jennifer Lawrence has had “quite the year.” So let’s catch up with Ms. Voorhies.

In April, she secretly (and quickly) married a man she met off of Facebook. But guys, guess what? It’s not all right, and she’s not saved by the bell, because said Facebook husband, is, oh, a bit of a fugitive. Man, who could have seen something like this coming?

His name is Jimmy Green, and he’s got a warrant out for his arrest. From TMZ:

Jimmy Green is a wanted man in Tuscon, Arizona after a 2012 incident in which he allegedly threatened to kill a store owner. According to a police report — obtained by TMZ — Green allegedly tried to return a cellphone but the owner refused to take it back. Cops say he then became enraged, threw the phone at the wall and said, “I’m going to break the store and kill (you).”

Green was charged with making criminal threats and disorderly conduct. He failed to appear for a court hearing and that’s why the warrant was issued.

Man, you think you know a guy. Okay, seriously though, I do feel kind of bad for her. Her personal life is a mess, the tabloids make fun of her surgically altered face, and she never really got any sort of momentum going after Saved by the Bell ended the way the others did. She wasn’t on the mini reunion on Jimmy Fallon’s show, and she’s never been on Dancing with the Stars. At least she’s not doing as badly as Screech. I don’t think anyone could do as badly as Screech. So hey, at least she’s got that going for her!

But is There Going to be a ‘Saved by the Bell’ Reunion?

From TMZ:

Saved by the Bell” is another step closer to a comeback … Mr. Belding himself — aka Dennis Haskins — tells TMZ he’s all for a Bayside High reunion, just days after Mark-Paul Gosselaar said he wasn’t opposed to the idea.

TMZ broke the story … Mark-Paul was in L.A. last weekend … and told our photog, if the upcoming “Boy Meets World” revamp works out, then “maybe we’ll do a reunion as well.”

That’s all it took for Mr. Belding to board the gravy train … telling TMZ, “I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us” … before adding, “Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much … they deserve it!”

As for the rest of the cast, getting them together may be tricky — Jimmy Fallon nearly made it happen in 2009 … until Tiffani Thiessen put the kibosh on the whole thing.

Man. Can I tell you how much I hope this happens? I really, really hope this happens. Mr. Belding, I don’t care all that much for, because he’s just like whatever, but seeing Zack and Kelly rekindle their on-screen romance? Come on, Kapowski. It’s not as if you’ve got anything better going on. Might want to rethink the 2009 Kibosh, huh?

As for the rest of the cast, I think it’d be super good publicity, too. Lark Voorhies … well, we all know what kind of craziness she’s been up to lately, and if Dustin Diamond isn’t too busy filming scat porn, then we’ve got those two also. Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley? Easy. Mario would just be in his glory to be around three hot pieces of ass all at once, and Elizabeth, well. Where the hell has she been, anyway? … Never mind. Don’t answer that.

Screech Has Some Words About Lisa Turtle, Too

Yesterday we talked about how Saved by the Bell‘s Lark Voorhies‘ mom came forward and blamed the “erratic” behavior that her daughter had been exhibiting over the past year on the fact that her daughter has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Which, if you can get past the fact that it was really f-cked up that a grown-ass woman’s mother is talking personal details of said grown-ass woman’s life without permission, I guess it’s what our moms do, sometimes, right? Give things away that we’d all rather not discuss with people who don’t know us, yes? Well, former SBTB co-star Dustin Diamond (otherwise known as ‘Screech’) has also come forward saying that she’s not the same girl he used to know, and he’s kind of worried about her, too.

From People:

In 2003, Lark Voorhies and Dustin Diamond reunited after many years to record commentary for a Saved by the Bell box set. But it wasn’t the Screech-and-Lisa reunion he expected.

“I was always used to playing off of her and looking into her eyes,” Diamond says of his former costar. “When I saw her at the commentary, it wasn’t the Lark I knew.”

Voorhies stared into space, Diamond says, much like she did during a series of interviews with PEOPLE. Voorhies says she is spiritual, but her mother Tricia revealed her daughter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She wasn’t always like this. Voorhies, who famously played the bubbly Lisa Turtle on the ’90s Saturday morning sitcom, was just as engaging offscreen, recalls Mario Lopez.

“[She] came from a real nice family – close with her mom. She carried herself like a little lady,” says Lopez, who played jock A.C. Slater on the show. “She was a sweet, pretty, cool teenaged girl. I was a big fan of hers. We got along great.”

She also got along with Diamond, despite her character rejecting his countless advances. Last year, the pair found themselves working side-by-side again, this time on an indie film called Little Creeps.

But the girl Diamond knew from Saved by the Bell looked more like the woman he saw while recording a commentary nearly a decade ago. Diamond recalls her darting off set and creating tension when she was there.

“Part of me is putting it out of my mind and not thinking about it, but the other part is that of concern,” he says. “Man, I hope she’s all right.”

So, OK. I don’t doubt what Dustin Diamond is saying to be true. But guys, it’s Dustin Diamond. He’ll pretty much comment on anything at all if it’ll give him a few seconds of press, right? But still. I find it really, really strange, and almost Britney-like that everyone in this woman’s life is making statements about emotional and mental health aside from the woman herself. And that’s just not cool, guys.

Lark Voorhies’ Mother Says Lark Voorhies has Bipolar Disorder

From People:

While most of the cast from Saved by the Bell have remained in the spotlight, Lark Voorhies has largely been out of sight.

The former teen star, known to a generation of fans as the fashionable Lisa Turtle, denies anything is wrong, but after a bizarre Yahoo! video went viral earlier this year, some questioned whether drugs played a role. Voorhies adamantly denied it. Instead, her mother says, she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

In a series of interviews with PEOPLE, it was clear something wasn’t right. Voorhies, 38, would frequently stop mid-sentence and stare off, often mumbling to herself or to others who weren’t there.

“There are things that have traumatized her,” says Tricia, 64, who shares a home with her daughter in Pasadena, Calif. “I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life.”

Voorhies says her “over-loving” mother worries about her, but there’s no need. She says she is not sick and keeps busy by working on low-budget indie productions, recording music and self-publishing her own books.

But what about the vacant stares and rambling moments?

“I have a strong spiritual sense,” she says. “You caught me in moments of pray [sic].”

Here’s an excerpt from the aforementioned interview:

Honestly, though, I don’t really see the problem with this interview. Yeah, she was a little spacey sometimes, but come on. Are we all perfect? Because I sure know that I’m not. I lose my words at times, and last I checked, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s something wrong with me, per se.

Here’s one that kind of concerns me. Is she drunk? High? Or is it her alleged diagnosis?

Because she stands there for more than a full nine minutes, squinting through the camera glare and answering questions that she doesn’t really have to. Why would she put herself through all that if she wasn’t really all that into giving interviews and public appearances and what not?

Just … just feel better, Lisa Turtle Lark Voorhies. You were probably my favorite character on Saved by the Bell and you seem like a pretty nice lady, too. Take good care of yourself, OK? Or if your mom’s telling lies, then she better quit it, because that’s just not nice.

Everybody’s Talking About Lisa Turtle’s Face

A photo of Lark Voorhies

In March, we were all talking about what happened to Ashley Judd‘s face. In April, we were all talking about Ashley Judd talking about us talking about her face. But now it’s May, and Ashley Judd has gotten enough press about her face, so now we have to talk about something else. And that something else is – you guessed it – Lisa Turtle’s face.

Lisa Turtle, known to some by her mortal name, Lark Voorhies, starred on everyone’s favorite high school sitcom, Saved by the Bell, in the early 90′s. That means that during the last season of the show, in 1993, she was just 19 years old. And now, nearly 20 years after that, her face looks a little different. Unbelievable, right? Can you imagine that you might actually look different in 20 years? How mortifying!

But no, I get it. Lisa Turtle’s face does look quite a bit different, even from how it looked just last year:

See? And now here’s her new face in action:

I don’t think it’s plastic surgery though. She has gained a little bit of weight (you know, since she was 19), but I don’t think it’s just that either. Her whole face just looks wider, doesn’t it? Her eyes look like they’re farther apart, her nose looks wider, and so does her mouth. I guess it could be some sort of medication that’s making her face look different, but really, I think the problem is really, really bad makeup.

I don’t know all that much about makeup, but after seeing that one picture of Katy Perry, I know that it can change your entire appearance. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, so maybe you guys could help me out, but it seems like the darkness of her lower face along with the lightness of the skin around her eyes could be doing it. Is that possible?

Either way, you keep doing your thing, Lisa Turtle. You’ll always be my favorite lady from Bayside!
