Aw, man! How could this happen?! It seemed like everything was going so well for Britney Spears and boyfriend Charlie Ebersol. They were so in love and having a great time… but apparently not, because now it seems as though they broke up and BritBrit is now single again! Nooooo!
Sources close to the couple tell TMZ … Britney and Charlie — who had been dating for the past eight months — did not have a messy breakup. It kinda looked like it was because Brit deleted several pics of him from social media, but we’re told it was more that the relationship simply ran its course.
As TMZ first reported, when the pair got together — before their first date, even — Brit’s dad made Charlie sign a non-disclosure agreement … so don’t count on him spilling the beans on the relationship any time soon.
I mean, let’s be honest – I think we all knew that this wasn’t going to last forever. Unfortunately, given Britney’s level of fame and her previous issues (particularly the fact that her father still controls pretty much her entire life), I don’t think it’ll ever last with anyone. But that doesn’t mean I’m giving up. I want Britney to have her happy ending! DON’T GIVE UP ON LOVE, BRITBRIT!
Charlie must have overplayed his hand when he was negotiating anew contract.
