Well, it’s Blue Ivy and Beyonce, but you know, whatever, we see that broad every day. Blue Ivy, though, we haven’t really seen all that much of her at all. There have been several paparazzi shots of Beyonce with her baby, but she’s always entirely covered up so that you can’t see her face. Then, of course, there were those photos of Blue that were posted on Tumblr, but that was way back in February.
Today is a brand new day though, and we have a candid shot from somebody who happened to be in the same shop as Beyonce and Blue. That person was kind enough to post the photo on Twitter, and the rest of the internet was kind enough to notice. So what do we think?
Ok, here’s the thing: I’m kind of bad at babies. If it’s really, painfully obvious, I can tell what features a baby shares with its parents, but other than that, I usually just coo at them and hold their little hands. But does this baby the same baby that we originally saw back in February?

If I’m being completely ridiculous, feel free to call me out on it, but I’m starting to get suspicious. The baby has a different hairline now, different hair texture, a seemingly darker skin tone (but that could just be the quality of the photo), and it looks to me like the eyes might be shaped a little differently too. So please, people with more baby experience than me, are these kinds of changes normal, or are we looking at two different babies?
That IS super weird. I’m not great with anything other than talking nonsensically to babies, either. I think that the lighting and photoquality are tremendously different, and I know that babies can change a LOT over even just a few months, but they do look super different. Not “call the police” different, though.
Though now you’ve totally reminded me of that Law & Order in which a single celebrity adopted a baby from Africa and the baby’s father came asking to see the child and she kept refusing him, and when he finally did see the baby, it wasn’t his baby–the original baby had died (OD’d or something?) and she had had her personal assistant bury the baby and then she adopted another black baby and no one knew.
Probably not what’s happened here, though. OR IS IT.
Well hair texture does change. There are many babies who are born with a full head of curly hair and then when they get their hair cut, it goes completely straight. Also, it’s the summer so perhaps the little girl is tanned! I don’t know, babies change so much, I see no reason to think it’s a different child lol
I agree, it looks like a totally different baby! That’s creepy as.
This is what happens my baby as a newborn looks NOTHING like he does now and he just turned 10 months he looks like a different baby his hair was black and straight hardly any eyelashes and what he had was blonde and his eyes were sort of swollen a different shape he was darker he got lighter, he now has long eyelashes and soft curls and light brown/blonde hair and he has big eyes
they all change and start looking more like their parents or family members as they grow.
Stunt shopping baby or the best choice of the surrogates litter.. A VERY big one for it’s age.. INCREDIBLE!
My nephew is part African American and when he was an infant, he gradually became darker than when he was first born. His hair changed as well. Making something out of nothing, eh?
my son is mixed race and his hair was super straight when he was born and he was almost totally white looking, now at almost ten months his hair is super curly and more afro looking and he has gotten significantly darker!
I’m African American myself and I was kinda similar to newborn Blue Ivy (different hair line, semi-straight newborn hair, etc) but after six months I got all my curly hair and big eyes as well.
It´s possible both of them are the same, it was the same for me!
my son at 1 week and now at 6 months look like complete different children…and we’re white lol And you cant judge anything on size, my 6 month old wears 18 month clothing. Blue ivy is just a fat baby lol
My sister was born with soft, black, and curly hair. A few months later, her hair was a light brown and her curls were gone. Lots of babies look completely different than their newborn pic.
Unfortunately, the poor little thing still looks too much like Jay-Z. Fortunately, her mother’s hair will distract most viewers.
