I came across an article about how Lindsay Lohan is being ‘sentenced’ to 120 days in jail, but she’ll be serving it at home, on house arrest, and will probably only be stuck there for fourteen days or so. Right. Same story, different day, even bigger lips. In short? Totally not even worth discussing here on Evil Beet. However, one thing in the report that actually IS of interest? The insane amount of prescription drugs that Lindsay takes on a daily basis. From 411mania:

“[Lindsay takes] Trazadone (for depression), Nexium (for heartburn), Yaz (birth control), Zoloft (anti-depressant), Doxycycline (antibiotic), Zyrtec (allergies) and Zythromax (antibiotic).”

Nothing really struck me as out of the ordinary until I came across the two different antibiotics. TWO ANTIBIOTICS. For real …. What the fuck is this chick being TREATED FOR? And moreover, is it contagious? You know what happens when you Google ‘uses of Zythromax’? You get all sorts of information on treating bacterial infections (including, but, um, not limited to sexually transmitted diseases). Same for Doxycyline – especially syphilis, chlamydia, and pelvic inflammatory disease. Of course, both of these drugs can be used to treat stuff like E. Coli, acne, UTIs, and bubonic plague, but it’s much more interesting to speculate on the conditions of Lindsay’s nether regions than those of her digestive tract.

Get well, Lindsay?

That can’t be right, antibiotics cancel out the affects of birth control.

It would be unusual if she was chronically on antibiotics. It would not be unusual to be on them currently if she was fighting, say, an upper respiratory infection. It’s pretty common to give someone with that a Z-Pak or specially packaged dosing of Zithromax that covers 3 or 5 days. And if she has a history of that sort of thing not clearing up with the Zithromax alone, they would give her the Doxycycline as well. Plus the Nexium makes sense because drinking too much pretty much destroys your stomach.

    Birth control + antibiotics?
Probably just used as menstrual control.

doxycycline is usually used to treat acne and people can be on that for years. but zythromax is used to treat things like common infections (bronchitis, etc) and sometimes STDs. so my money is on she doesnt want pizza-face and has some stid action going on.
