Erin Andrews on Cancer Diagnosis

screenshot-a.abcnews.com 2017-01-24 11-31-32 Days after being diagnosed with cervical cancer and just moments before surgery, Erin Andrews had one request for her oncologist. “I’m not watching any football games at home. This is [Fox’s] Super Bowl year, and I’m not missing the Super Bowl,” Andrews recalled saying. The FOX broadcaster, who has become a sideline staple on NFL Sundays, revealed to MMQB.com she was diagnosed in late September following a routine checkup last June. While in a meeting with colleagues ahead of th...

Jane Fonda Lists Beverly Hills Home

Jane Fonda has always loved art, and that's more than clear when you look inside her Beverly Hills mansion. It's also WAY more contemporary than I expected. Glass stairs and elevator, white walls and a sleek lines over 7,120 square feet. Fonda and music producer Richard Perry have listed the place at $12,995,000. Located in the Trousdale section of Beverly Hills, the property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, a media room and a home office.   And relax with a meditation garden (with fountain) as well as sweeping canyon and ocean views.   janefonda_bh28Jane Fonda has always loved art, and that's more than clear when you look inside her Beverly Hills mansion. It’s Couture Week. What’s that mean?

It's Couture week in Paris and in my home those are the high holy days. Twice a year we gather around a nice meal and thank our lord Givenchy for the frocks he gave unto us.  But what is it, this Haute Couture? [caption id="attachment_166884" align="alignleft" width="300"] Jean Paul Gaultier[/caption] The words "Haute Couture" literally mean "high sewing" in french.  The art of couture is, at its core, two fold.  First, and most important, is everything is done by hand. No machine of any k...

Best Signs from the March on Washington

I know there are lots of posts around showing a lot of signs. And I wont pretend this one is any different, other than I culled a lot from all over and only put what I really loved. Regardless of where you stand on the reasons women took to the streets this weekend, the one thing we can all enjoy is a well placed pun or an adorable child forced to represent their parents beliefs.  And since I got to make the list, those are a big part of the play here. Some of the signs are bawdy or profane. Good. It was about getting attention, not being polite. That's the point of a march. So sit back and enjoy some clever wordplay and snarky observations.   822858949003268096-png__700I know there are lots of posts around showing a lot of signs. Son’s of Stars Love that Catwalk

We all know that the daughters of celebrities love to jump on that modeling gig to bring in a little cash (tons) and break away from mommy and daddy's wallet.  The Hiltons did it. The Hadid's own it. Lourdes tried.  Even the granddaughter of the king, Elvis, hit the stage a few times. But when the boys of stars take to the catwalk, it's not heard of as often. Likely because the entire mens fashion industry gets less attention than the womens. But they're out there. And they're strutting their stuff in the latest designer wear. Representing are Rafferty Law, son of Jude.  Brandon Lee, son of Pam and Tommy.  Levi Dylan, son of Jacob, grandson of Bob.  Presley Gerber, son of Randy Gerber and Cindy Crawford. And lastly, my fav, Romeo Beckham, son of David and Victoria. Bette Davis And Joan Crawford Series Coming!

screenshot-media.vanityfair.com 2017-01-23 10-26-49 One of the most amazing cat fights to ever grace us with it's venom is the one carefully crafted between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.  Two of the biggest legends in Hollywood and one of the greatest battles. The series will “chronicle the intense relationship between Davis and Crawford that began in their heydays of the ‘30s and ‘40s.” The show will also explore how the iconic actresses came to co-star in the 1962 film “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” And playing these d...

Roberta Flack Selling Condo in Dakota Building

Who's the bigger legend here? Roberta Flack? One of the most beloved singers of all time. Or the Dakota building?  The home to many legends and the scene of John Lennon's tragic shooting in 1980. The “Killing Me Softly” singer has lived in the Dakota for 40 years.  A relatively small home at just 2000 sq ft, the 2 bedroom, 2 bath and airy 12 ft high ceilings.  But as the pictures show, the rooms can be tight. And the mirrored walls outdated. So perhaps the impending remodel is what scares buyers away from the lofty $6,995,000 price tag.   Or perhaps it's the $8,866 monthly fees for the privilege of living there. The stuffy listing describes the building thusly:
Designed by Henry J. Hadenbergh, The Dakota is a legendary icon of NYC living due to its incredible architecture and illustrious list of current and past residents. The Dakota architecture includes opulent finials, oil-burning lamps, and a manned sentry greet residents and their guests. From the elegant porte cochre entrance you can see glimpses of a fountain, located at the center of The Dakotas beautiful interior courtyard.

Why Kanye isn’t singing at Inauguration

screenshot-pagesix.com 2017-01-20 10-46-02 Despite their meeting last month, Donald Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Committee team never asked Kanye West to perform at Friday’s event in Washington, DC. The reason: The rapper apparently isn’t “traditionally American” enough. “We haven’t asked him,” Tom Barrack, the committee’s chair, told CNN earlier this week. “He considers himself a friend of the president-elect, but it’s not the venue. The venue we have for entertainment is filled out, it’s perfect, it’s...

Rather Than Strike, Museums Open Their Doors Wider on Inauguration Day

And art is all about expressing ones feelings and opinions. But I don't see what the closing of museums and galleries do to send a message and I am glad to see the direction taken by some of our countries finest art houses. Major muse...

Tupac Movie Gets Release Date!

screenshot-whenrapwasreal.com 2017-01-18 12-31-47 One icon, several years of embattled production, a revolving door of planned release dates, and two teaser trailers later, the long-delayed Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me has landed a distributor. Lionsgate and Morgan Creek Entertainment announced Tuesday the film will hit theaters nationwide on June 16 — what would have been the late rapper’s 46th birthday — via the former’s Summit Entertainment label. Starring newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr. in the lead role, All Eyez On Me — a ti...

Topless protester grabs Donald Trump wax statue by the crotch

19285220 A topless feminist protester in Spain attacked a life-size wax statue of President-elect Donald Trump presented at Madrid’s Wax Museum on Tuesday while screaming “grab patriarchy by the balls.” The woman, who had the same message written on her bare back, reportedly pushed past security to access the figure on display, according to a Reuters reporter at the scene. The activist from the feminist group FEMEN grabbed the crotch of the wax figure, likely in reference to Trump’s ho...
