"Happier Than Ever" debuted July 30th and instantly went to the top of Billboard charts. The album sold 238,000 equivalent units, including 153,000 in traditional sales.
But the interesting part comes in the vinyl sales. 73,000 copies of vinyl, to be exact. The second highest number of vinyl sales since 1991!
Another 46,000 were CD sales and then a crazy 10,000 copies were sold in freaking cassette sales! !
Earlier this year, Taylor Swift set the record for the biggest week when Evermore sold 102,00 vinyl copies.

On August 11, Dominic Winter Auctioneers will sell a 40-year-old piece of cake baked to celebrate Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding in 1981.
The cake (seen below) has white marzipan icing (ew) and a Royal coat of arms made out of sugar. In the lot description, the British auction house notes that the decades-old dessert is “partly cracked” and has “slight damage to the shield of the crest” but otherwise appears to be well preserved.
It's provenance goes like this... A woman who worked for the Queen named Moyra Smith was given the piece of cake as a gift. In lew of a ticket to the wedding, I suppose. Anyway, Moyra was no dummy. She didn't eat the cake, but rather wrapped it up with a handwritten label signed and dated to “29/7/81”: “Handle with Care—Prince Charles & Princess Diane’s [sic] Wedding Cake.”
Moyra sold the slice in 2008 and it's current owners are offering it up yet again.
Here's the thing... estimates are just $300 - $400. That's doable for almost anyone who wants to express their love for Diana in a most peculiar way. Finally! A good use for that stimmy money you've been holding onto!
