First off, rumors that they were on that Learjet so that Travis' assistant could be present for the birth of his child are false.
Says a publicist for the duo in a statement:
"Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are in critical but stable condition and are being treated at Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia after surviving a plane crash late last night in Columbia, South Carolina. The hospital will issue a statement with an update on their condition at 9:00 am eastern time tomorrow. Due to the nature of the injuries and the evolving course of treatment no further information on their condition is available at this time. The accident claimed the lives of four people on board, two of whom, Chris Baker (Lil Chris) and Charles Stills (Che), were close friends of the injured. On behalf of Travis Barker and DJ AM, deepest sympathy is expressed to the loved ones of all who perished in the crash. As the two recuperate and mourn this loss, privacy for them, their families, and friends is requested at this time."

It's called "Another Way to Die." It was written and produced by Jack White, and performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys, after studio execs realized that Amy Winehouse was, essentially, unemployable.
It's ... um ... weird. And by "weird" I mean it still probably would have been better if Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse had done it, even if Amy had smoked, like, a mattress full of crack beforehand. In fact, I kind of feel cracked out just listening to it. It's unsettling. It makes me want to twitch and rearrange furniture and then scratch at my face a lot.

What interests me about the Emmys is that the attendees -- at least this year -- tended to be, on the whole, comparatively older women, which is fine, but their fashion choices are more reserved and therefore less interesting. I wasn't really wowed by anyone.

On Sunday, the Federal Reserve quietly announced the conversion of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to bank holding companies. They'd previously been the last two independent investment banks in the country.
This means these companies are now subject to far stricter federal oversight.
