If you’ve never seen the original Scary Movie by the Wayans brothers you simply MUST. It’s hysterical. The follow up films were less funny, but still worth wasting a Saturday afternoon binging.
Scary Movie was released on July 7, 2000, and served as a parody to hit horror films at the time, including I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream.
The film starred Carmen Electra, Shannon Elizabeth, Anna Faris, Jon Abrahams, Reginal Hall and Kurt Fuller – in addition to Marlon and Shawn.
Scary Movie became a huge worldwide hit, with over $278 million at the box office.
The new take on the famous franchise was revealed by Paramount at CinemaCon on Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
