James Gandolfini remembered at ‘Sopranos’ reunion dinner

At a dinner after Wednesday night’s big “Sopranos” reunion for the 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere, Michael Imperioli gave a toast to the show’s late star, James Gandolfini.

At the Del Posto gathering, hosted by HBO chair Richard Plepler, the cast stood as Imperioli said, “Jim, this is for you. Salute.”

Plepler told the group — including Gandolfini’s on-screen family, Edie Falco, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler, plus Lorraine Bracco, Tony Sirico, Vincent Pastore, Steven Van Zandt and others — “HBO would not be HBO without ‘The Sopranos.’ We still have the posters on the walls for a reason.”

Gandolfini’s son, Michael, was gifted a “Sopranos” letterman jacket.
