The Mooch meets with Dr. Phil about possible daytime talk show

Infamously short-lived White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was spotted meeting with Dr. Phil about launching a daytime talk show, spies tell Page Six.

And some thought that the TV psychologist also looked to be “comforting” the Mooch — who recently patched things up with his wife — although Scaramucci tells us it was just “camaraderie.”

We hear that the outspoken Mooch was at Polo Bar last week, where he “got into an argument with a fellow Wall Streeter at the bar,” a source related. He then joined TV’s Dr. Phil for dinner.

A spy told Page Six that Phil “spent 45 minutes with his arm around Scaramucci appearing to try and comfort him over something.” But we hear they’re actually working on a show together.

Scaramucci’s rep explained of any alleged argument that the Mooch was “joshing with Gary Kaminsky, one of his friends for 30-plus years and co-host on ‘Wall Street Week.’ Nothing but love and friendship. No tension. Their easy jocular manner was clearly misinterpreted by someone who didn’t know their relationship.”

As far as Dr. Phil, we’re told: “Phil McGraw and Anthony are friends .?.?. Phil was going to be in New York and invited Anthony to dinner. It was camaraderie and respect .?.?. not comforting.”

His rep added, “The comforting part is ridiculous.”

Scaramucci recently tested out his hosting chops on TMZ’s TV show.
