I know The Wire has been off the air for eight years now, but it still remains one of the best dramas ever on TV (and perhaps the best ever on HBO, though I know that’s to be debated). That being said, I don’t think anyone cares anymore about Wendell Pierce, who played Detective Bunk Moreland on the series… except now we kinda do, because he’s gone and got himself arrested for punching a Bernie Sanders supporter.
In case you didn’t know, Wendell is apparently a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter, and when he got into a fight with a woman who was feeling the Bern, he decided to knock her lights out.

“The Wire” and ‘Odd Couple’ star got arrested and booked for battery Saturday when he — a staunch backer of Hillary Clinton — got into it with a woman who’s voting for Sen. Sanders.
Pierce allegedly pushed the woman’s boyfriend, then went after the woman … grabbing her hair and smacking her in the head.
It’s clear in the mug shot — Wendell has scratches on his nose and upper lip. His reps have been silent since the arrest.
Keep it classy. If there’s one way to get press, it’s by committing battery on someone with differing political views. Yikes.
Holy F#ck Jennifer he smacks a woman in the head and you shrug it off with a … keep it classy ….? I guess we know what your politics are if this was a trump supporter I still be reading your rant.
