I’ve gotta fess up to something here — I never really expected Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling to last. I never really “got” them or what they had in common (and yes, I’m fully aware they’re celebrities and we don’t actually know either of them) and was pretty shocked when they announced a couple of years or so ago (and yes, I’m too lazy to look up when exactly that was) that they were having a baby together. They did indeed have that baby and they’re still together. Things are going well, or so we have to assume, because Mendes is pregnant with the couple’s second child!
Eva Mendes has another bun in the oven! Multiple sources confirm exclusively to Us Weekly that the actress and her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Gosling, are expecting their second child together.
According to a source, the mom of daughter Esmeralda, 19 months, was spotted hiding her burgeoning bump during a photo shoot in Los Angeles in February.
Well, congrats to them, I suppose? It’s hard to have too much of an opinion about celebs who are, as far as Hollywood goes, pretty low key and very under the radar. It’s great that they are, of course – the last thing we need is another set of fame whores who won’t get out of our faces – but it means that there’s not much to comment on, and maybe that’s how it should be.
Eva’s been taking time off of showbiz to focus on family, so something tells me this wasn’t entirely unplanned. I have no idea what Ryan’s up to – things have settled down a bit since the height of the whole “Feminist Ryan Gosling” meme and people losing their damn minds over him for some inexplicable reason.
