When you’re Suri Cruise, there can’t possibly be much on your Christmas list, right? After all, you’re rich – or at least your parents are – and you probably get every single thing you want as soon as you open your mouth to utter the words, right? Apparently not, and Suri’s demanding, very detailed list for Santa is leaving mom Katie Holmes feeling a bit panic-stricken.
US Weekly has the scoop on Katie’s recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Katie’s Christmas nightmare:
“We are getting ready for Christmas in my house,” the Miss Meadows actress, 35, told DeGeneres. “My daughter’s 8 years old, and she already has her Christmas list ready. It’s written out. She’s very organized.”
That’s a bit of an understatement. Suri — Holmes’ daughter from her marriage to ex-husband Tom Cruise, whom she divorced in 2012 — is apparently meticulous when it comes to making her list for Santa. And she does not tolerate mistakes.
“I start to, like, get a little bit of a panic because you cannot screw up talking to Santa,” Holmes admitted. “You cannot miss any item on that list, because if you screw that up, that’s years and years of hearing about it, and then probably therapy.”
“Now, wait,” DeGeneres interrupted. “Is she abusing Santa? Does she have a long list of things? Or is she practical?”
“She’s practical, she’s just very specific,” Holmes replied. Pressed for an example, the Dawson’s Creek alum said, “Like, ‘I want a puppy, and then I want a pink collar that has sparkles on it that says the puppy’s name. Then I want shoes for the dog…Then I want a purple clip.’ Like, it’s all very detailed.”
Oh, Suri. That little rascal! Anyway, what’s she want a puppy for? She’s already got one – and lost it once! – so maybe just a new outfit for the poor animal?
I wouldn’t want to screw up Suri’s Christmas list either.
But I’m a terrible person so if she ever complained, I’d probably just threaten to send her to that Scientology alien labor boat.
Katie knows all about emotional blackmail. She knows if she doesnt get Suri what she wants, Suri will find daddy and make him get the same stuff only bigger and better.
How is Suri 8 already???? I bet she still has a pacifier. ..
