First The Office, now this.
Hugh Laurie’s contract is up at the end of the next season of House, and he doesn’t know what’s going to happen after that. When asked about how much longer the amazing show will go, he said
“I have no idea. I only hope we’ll know when the time is right [to close up shop]. When people blunder on for five years after [they should have called it quits]… it gets taken out of your hands. Someone will say, ‘That’s it.'”
He’s also said that he’s open to continuing on after his contract is up, and that next season sometime they’ll decide whether or not House needs to be over.
Ok, I love House. It’s kind of a problem. And I know there’s the worry about jumping the shark and turning into shit, but I really don’t think that’s the case right now with House. I’ve been catching up on the latest season, so I don’t know everything that’s happened in the later half, but from what I hear, the finale was pretty phenomenal. And come on, if Steve Carell leaves The Office and Supernatural gets cancelled next year, that’s already more heartbreak than I can take.
I feel like I’m talking a friend off a window ledge. “You have so much to live for, House, please don’t do this! Think of all the happiness you’ll never see! Don’t leave me like this!”
I would be very sad also, because House is my favorite show…
House stopped being good after the 3rd season.
At least soon it’ll be out of it’s misery.

oh come on, this season pretty much sucked, it was so boring! nothing happened in any episode, they were the same, nothing changed… lame
even the finale when he a cuddy got together it was boring it was like “yeah i love you and stuff… yeah i love you too” and it was like 3 seconds of the entire episode!!
so it’s good if it got cancelled cuz it has nothing extra back story to squeez or something…
House is one of the best shows on TV. Great plot structure and amazing writing every episode. Nothing will top the first few seasons, but I still enjoy it. Hugh Laurie is outstanding at what he does, and the supporting actors are pretty good too. I’d hate for this show to be canceled!
Don’t worry. It lives forever on cable along with all 42 versions of Law & Order.
If House is cancelled, i will be so upset. It is one of the best shows on television right now :(

Had to stop watching the show as it lost its appeal.

I love watching House. It is my favorite show. i really hope it dont get canceled.
I used to be a massive house fan but I must admit it has gone downhill. There are still some awesome episodes but they’re getting few and far between. I hate shows that don’t know when to stop as it kind of tarnishes the overall quality the show was once known for. (i.e the simpsons)
So as much as I love and will miss house I do think if the producers feel they’ve done everything they can with the characters, I hope they won’t be afraid to call it quits.
I agree with Mena ever since house went crazy on season 6, and the awesome cast and arc of the fourth, we haven’t seen a new dynamic It’s plain ass season 1 all over again. BOOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIIING!
I mean don’t get me wrong we love Hugh but if its time to cancel it’s time to cancel. I don’t think they can make any some sort of spinoff worth anyone’s time.
