X-Tina Gives Her Final Comment On Her Alleged Fued With Lady Gaga

Christina Aguilera, amazing singer and powerful female, has taken to her website to make what she says her is last word on the subject of whether or not she’s ripping off Lady Gaga with her latest album and video.

X-Tina wrote:

Dear Fans,

I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.
There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.

This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.

“Can’t hold us down….”

With love,
C/X

This is why Christina’s always been the best. The woman’s a legit feminist and has always taken this attitude when speaking about her female peers. Throughout all the years she could have bashed Britney for her inability to sing or Jessica Simpson for her inability to get her career off the ground, she didn’t. She never has. You’d be hard-pressed to find Christina Aguilera making a disparaging or demeaning remark about another woman, and I think that makes her a fantastic role model and classy as hell.

  • her post does not address her being accused of ripping off lady gaga.
it just mentioned that she harbors no ill will toward gaga and that she refuses to allow the media to portray both singers as enemies.

    • It’s her final response to the argument that started over people saying Christina was ripping off Gaga. We’re both technically correct.

    • wow, at first i was inwardly mocking that link, then i delved into the articles and holy cow!

I can’t wait to go through the archives…it plays into my suspicious theories that my friends mock me for.

  • I’m glad taht teh allegid fued is ovr.
Christina Aguilera is legit and a badass, but other female musical artists have only really come to embrace X-tina in the last few years. She once had a longstanding and decently well-known reputation for being unapproachable, diva-licious, and haughty, even amongst her peers. Pink had to put her in her place for her holier-than-thou approach to working with the other Lady Marmalade ladies.
Then there was the petty (and mostly one-sided) feud X-tina had with Britney, among other X-tina beefs.

  • Wow, I cant believe no one has noticed that “fued” is spelled FEUD. use spellcheck people

    • particularly, Molls, considering she is supposed to be a good enough writer to provide us with something entertaining and intellegent to read.

      • hah, I’m glad someone picked up on my spellcheck joke. I can’t take all of the spelling errors Molls makes. It completely distracts from being able to enjoy the story, because that is the only thing you notice (hence my “intellegent” joke)

  • As for the big debate on Christina ripping off gaga, has no one seen her old videos? She did it first. like them both, but Christina is prettier and can pull it off better

  • if I have to hear ANOTHER dumbass Gaga fan talking about how Christina Aguilera ripped her off and blah blah blah I will smack them in the face. NO ONE CARES. I’m not even a huge fan of either and its insanely annoying how these people act like Lady Gaga is the second coming and some sort of true ‘artiste’. The reality? Gaga is just another silly pop star, singing silly pop songs, who happens to dress like a lunatic. If Christina did rip her off then I feel bad for her thinking she needs to sink that low.

    • gaga isn’t the second coming of jesus? hold me; my faith is shattered and i am having an existential crisis.

  • Christina is a talented bitch who is a fairly well documented diva. But if you got the goods, then maybe you can get away with it. I dislike any of these famous schmucks who act like their sheet don’t stink. For example, Christina got all pissy because somebody had the NERVE to cough while she was speaking. People cough in church all the time and Jesus Christ isn’t complaining so STFU Miss Thang. You are here to entertain us….that’s it. You’re well paid but you work for us….the music fans.

  • w-o-w.

so i guess christina never dissed gaga by asking if she’s a man when brought up by an interviewer over a year ago.

    huh.

now i remember why i visit this site less & less.

    ugh.

    • i was just gonna bring that up too. a while back christina DID say she didn’t even know who lady gaga was and whether she’s a woman or man

      • “I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman.”

Because when you are a “legit feminist” and someone challenges your artistic integrity by suggesting there are similarities between your work and another person’s, the first thing you do is attack their sex and gender orientation. She’s a stupid bitch. Being talented does not give you an excuse to treat people like shit.

  • LOVE “Can’t hold us down!”
It has a meaning for a change, and not only speaks of crap love
I saw “the making of” that song and she had lots of problems convincing MTV about the whole song, and specially about the scene where she dances with a hose between her legs (they wanted to cut that scene off and she refused)
She’s right, you don’t have to choose between gaga and her, you can love both! I love her as a feminist
She has a great voice, and stripped a fantastic album, from her voice to the lyrics

  • Molls. Correct that title please.
    It’s spelled F-E-U-D.
    not fued.
For real. Use a dictionary if you hate spellcheck so much.
