Ke$ha Wears Fur to Wendy Williams

Ke$ha hit up The Wendy Williams Show yesterday lookin’ fierce in a fuzzy fur that matched her shaggy mane. Here’s a question: How pissed would you be if that fur is real? Personally, I don’t know how much it bothers me, but I am wondering what kind of statement it would be for a new artist to walk out in a real fur coat at one of her first public appearances. I hate the use of real fur, but I am guilty of owning a couple of pieces that were handed down to me that definitely used to be part of a live animal. Interested to know people’s thoughts on this jacket…

  • I thought she was horrible when I first heard her, now just more reason to hate her.

Auto tuned talking does not constitute as singing, ever.

  • I am sick of this “you are evil if you wear fur” bullshit – If she wore it, who gives a shit – this is AMERICA not Istanbul! I wish a bitch would do a damn thing for wearing a real fur sable…get a life! I’m sorry animals will always be on my plate and in my closet.

    • Perhaps if you were more connected with animals, you would think otherwise. Watch some videos of how they capture those poor innocent creatures so females can what……. stay warm?!?! LOL.

      • WHOA ACE VENTURA 2 FLASHBACK!
Remember when he punches out the Monopoly looking guy (Monocle) because his wife is wearing fur.
And then he wears him around like a fur coat.

ahh… they don’t make ’em like they used to…

  • anti-fur celeb blogs will have more credibility on this issue when they begin attacking Liz Taylor and her fur collection.

  • Old, handed down fur is okay to wear but buying new fur is tacky and wrong. I thought that was the 21st century rule that everyone knew.

  • I inherited a fur jacket and decided to donate it to raise funds for our local food bank. It was my personal choice and I would never intrude my beliefs on others. Yes, this is America where we have the freedom of choice, and people respect you more if you don’t sound so damn angry!

  • I don’t know about fur, but I wear leather shoes because I have very severe bunions. Leather gives over time in the places my feet hurt so I can walk in comfort. Synthetic products don’t. Also, leather bags and belts do last a heck of a lot longer than imitation junk. Perhaps the issue with fur is that it appears it is not used to keep warm, rather look stylish. To kill an animal just for the purposes as an accessory doesn’t feel right to me. I think fur buyers should have to watch the animals get caught, killed and skinned so they can truely appreciate the sacrifice. And yes, I have watched a documentary on what happens to cows and pigs slaughtered for consumption. Pretty distrubing. I still eat meat, but only once in a while. I don’t take it for granted what an animal gives up.

    • Really?? You don’t think fur is warm? How do you think animals keep warm in the winter? Their FUR. The concept behind fleece is the same as fur. Follicles/filaments trap air pockets as an insulating barrier, keeping warmth in and cold out. So technically, yes, fur keeps you warm. Tackiness and ethics is a whole other topic though.

      • Diana…. are you stupid KB said that women wear them as an accessory not as warmth. Simply put for you, SHE believe fur warm. Women No wear fur for warm wear for looks. There simplified for you.

  • Hooray for fur! If they weren’t raising those minks for coats they never would have been born. There are benefits to being at the top of the food chain. I am HUGE animal lover, I always have at least one pet and I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, even a ferret. I would still smother a chinchilla for a really soft fur bikini. Yes, this sounds troll-y but honestly people, most of the animals raised for fur are not happy fuzzy friendly snuggle bunnies. They are stinky and vicious and I wouldn’t leave one alone in a room with a baby. Even cows are not above a random stampede which, even though not malicious in nature, will still kill you if you are in the way.

    • i’m not so sure about your reasoning. wouldn’t a fur bikini get all saggy and clumpy and smell weird?

    • I would leave a rabid wolverine alone with a baby before you. You’d probably skin it for pasties. And I suspect someone as tacky and disgusting as you already has a pretty impressive fur bikini. Are your current pets crabs?

    • Yeah, humans never do anything random or otherwise that kills or injures other humans. We’re not like those animals.

    • Possibly they are that why because they live in hellish conditions and are raised only to be slaughtered? That being said, do you know how animals actually ‘are’…have you ever been to a fur farm?

    • are you some kind of idiot? Wait, you don’t have to answer that.

“stinky and vicious”- good reasoning. Animals behaving like animals? OH NO! Look out!

Fur bikini? You’re a self centered moron.

Go stand in front of a “random stampede”.

    • People like you make me realize that ignorance isnt so bliss. Congrats for making me realize it.. you are despicably twisted knowing that these animals are being abominably skinned alive while ur hoping to wear them as a stupid bikini. trust me it will not look any cutter on u.. It only looks good on the original owner. i rather be open minded than a hypocrite. These animals deserve to live and die by nature not by people. Using fur not even for warmth but for fashion is sickening.. I hope you wouldnt plan on skinning ur dog alive after all the chinchilla have become extinct because of your ignorance!

  • Oh and yes, I have in fact seen (in person too not video) animals being slaughtered and as I live a strict People > Animals philosophy (yes I’m a speciest, deal) I simply cannot bring myself to care.

    • yeah, sure, why should u… i hope u get eaten by a fucking tiger. when certain animals go extinct because of people like u… i cant even write i just want to punch u

    • LOL, you have not been to a fur farm. Just because you typed it doesn’t mean it’s true. I hope when you don that fur bikini whatever it was made from tries to mate with you.

  • 1st off, i think it looks like real fur.
i love animals, so i wear faux fur. i have this really incredible coat and it just looks classy and chick-not cheap. having said that, my grandmother has a lot of fur coats, which i will probably inherit. i don’t know if i will wear them but i definitely don’t want to throw them away. Dilemmas.

    • My aunt has got like four or five fur coats from her mum, who passed away many years ago. She just keeps them in a wardrobe.

  • I love when you ask questions like this…it brings out all the animal rights folks!! If you eat burgers, steaks, pork chops, bacon, etc, etc, or if you wear any kind of leather then shut the hell up about how these “poor animals” are captured and killed. They are raised in captivity for the specific purpose of being used for food, or clothing or whatever. If you don’t want to wear or eat something in particular, then don’t, but don’t try to ram your thoughts and feelings onto the whole world by trying to make something out as criminal or unhuman.

    • You are completely ignorant. Personally i dont eat animals because of the slaughterhouses but im ok with people eating meat because it all has to do with the food chain.. But wearing them is an outcry for a acrimonious assassin. They are being skinned alive for the use of ferocious hags that dont even look good on them. Fur only looks good on the original owner. Why do the animals have to suffer because some ugly sluts want to rip out their skins to compensate for being ugly trolls. Screw fashion when it comes to murder! Only beautiful women are comfortable with their own bodies.

  • I really couldn’t give two sh*ts what this chick does.
But I do have to admit to a shameful and harrowing “Tik Tok” addiction.
I hit up YouTube for it at least twice a day.
I don’t like any of her other songs, though, so I’m sure I’ll recover soon.

  • Just wanted to comment…
If there is a reason to kill an animal, why not use every part of their bodies that we can? I don’t believe in killing an animal simply for its fur then discarding of the rest of it, but, if we are going to kill an animal anyway, why not be environmentally conscious and, rather than putting the leftovers to waste, use them!
If we’re going to eat the cow anyway, why not use its skin for leather?
If we’re going to eat a seal, why not make a sealskin coat out of its fur?

Wouldn’t it make more sense for people to be upset at the fact that people are putting all kinds of parts of animals to waste when they can be used?

I know that this is not what happens all the time, and that many animals are raised for fur, then all but the fur is discarded, but wouldn’t it work out great if that’s what was happening? It would be a win-win, wouldn’t it?

    • i fully agree. i heard that sometimes they are used for everything — but i have no idea if that is true or not.

i really think it should be true.

i don’t necessarily think buying new fur is good, but i have taken some of my great-aunt’s fur and got it reworked to make a wonderful fur collar that i wear with a blazer, as well as a great fur scarf for the winter…
i think that it’s simply hypocritical to be so against fur and then wear leather and eat meat. i have drastically reduced my meat intake, for future health reasons and environmental reasons, but i don’t force that decision on others.

  • When I made the comment of fur mostly used as an accessory…I think the people that piss us off are the ones you know are wearing it to look cool (no pun intended) and not to stay warm. (as I read comments I found myself laughing. The back and forth is really priceless. ) I think its most important to make sure the industry produces animal products humanely. I don’t eat veal due to how the calves are treated. No reason to torture. Yes, I wear leather shoes and belts because they LAST and I use them EVERY DAY. I don’t own 100 of them. Just a few, which I’ve owned for decades. And Tara, what’s the deal with you? I know it can be fun to spar with people from a safe distance, but you really come across ugly from the inside. Self-Importance will do that to a person. And Dizzle…I know you are just playin. No one that mean is capable of rhyming. LOL

      • just because people think you’re a self centered whore and your argument makes no sense, doesn’t mean they are PETA supporters. PETA is an extreme, just like any other special interest group that goes off the deep end.

And I suppose you have nothing better to do than to troll the internet in your fur bikini?

        Please go drown.

  • As usual humans are ignorant peices of crap that think they are better than everything. I hope you all die horribly. Maybe get your head out of your arse and realise your not the most important thing in the world. Couldnt be further from it.

    • well said! :) since when did people think they were the only important living thing in the planet. Only cause we are rational does not make us any more dominant. Watch us be in the wild with no weapons and see whose the dominant ones not us. Lets just say we are defenseless in the wilderness. Thats why we had to separate ourselves from the animals into civilization.

  • animals used for fur are not “USED FOR EVERYTHING” china still has thousands of people starving. do you eat fox and other racoon like animals? no. anyways, half of the fur is actually made of cats and dogs, so get your head out of your ass. its different when, say, a cow is slaughtered. they do use all of the animal and skin for leather. they dont just throw it away. animals for fur are captured, skinned (SOMETIMES ALIVE…still kicking) and thrown away.

have enough balls to watch this video? (i dont like PETA but the video is plain and simple)

Pledge to go fur-free at PETA.org.

    • The link above is not to sign up for PETA, its just the link for the video. see this also below (stuff in beginning is weird)

    • When I talked about using all parts of an animal, I said myself that I know this doesn’t always go on. I said that in a perfect world that is what would happen, and it would make a lot of sense to do so.

In Newfoundland, When a seal is killed, people eat the meat and use the fur…though many people protest this calling it animal cruelty…but isn’t it better for the environment?

I think that people should stop protesting against using fur, and begin protesting about all the animal waste…If an animal is being raised for fur, why not skin it first, then send the meat off to somewhere else (if it is edible or can be used for something else?)…again, in a perfect world…

  • Who the F*** is this girl??? and about the fur, well I think it sucks the way they killed animals no matter how “cool” that thing looks on.

  • I don’t understand, nobody says “boo” about anybody wearing a leather jacket or eating a burger, but the minute the hair is not scraped from the dead animal, you’re all up in arms. Also, last I checked everybody was just fine with uggs (ideas about their ugliness aside) and they are wool, which is a type of fur, kids. The whole argument is stupid.

  • kbaz you make an interesting point, but wool is not a type of fur. Wool is actually considered hair. It is harvested without killing its host. Fur includes the dermis of the aminal which must be killed in order to preserve it. I guess there is a bit of inconsistency. Maybe the way fur is harvested from animals is what bothers people. I don’t know. I don’t like uggs either. And I had no idea what they were made of. But I don’t think this argument is stupid (its more like a debate). And this site is not going to offer true change and enlightenment. It’s just a place to spout off.

  • I don’t do personal attacks on people but I like to open up a conversation and provide evidence and proof and testimony to the barbaric FACTS of the fur industry. The problem is that even if you try to talk civilized to people wearing fur, they get mean, or arrogant and just don’t want to hear anything. As if they are afraid they learn something that may change their mind about wearing fur. Just a few days ago I was trying to open up the lines of communication with a local news anchor and got slapped in the face so to speak. She wears fur. I can really understand that after decades of trying to give a voice to the voiceless how it can get very frustrating. I’ve been one of the people who wore fur many moon ago. But when I saw how these animals are treated before they are killed and how they are killed it made me change over night. I mean I had nighmares for weeks and am still not the same. You just got to see it to believe it. How humans can be utterly cruel and how others just look the other way. Non Violence must be extended toward animals if we ever want to see a kinder world in general. It starts with each of us making new and maybe unpopular choices.
Maybe some of our friends won’t like us, maybe we get ridiculed but we must do what we know is right in our hearts. Killing animals for their coats is wrong. If you one of those people who believe it is done “humanely” I urge you to do some research and do what I did “Actually watch the footage of the killings” it is one of the hardest things I ever did but it’s the least we can do to bare witness. If it doesn’t change you nothing will.

  • ohh… I forgot… the same is for leather.
Most leather garments are made of cows skin that come from India.
Actually many people in India revere their cows and sometimes when they can not care for them anymore they give them to what is being sold to them as sanctuaries. They believe their cow will live out it’s live in a herd. But they really end up on wagons and trains on top of each other, beaten along the way, and eventually killed, if not dead on arrival, starved or dying of thirst.
That ends up to be a leather jacket or coat or show or gloves etc etc in your local stores.
