Her rise on the political scene has nothing to do with her “leap-frogging” to the center of national politics. She did NO leap-frogging, she was sucked into the vortex of John McCain’s campaign blackhole. Her rise to power in Alaska is akin to someone rising to the heights of the Symphony Board in Milwaukee (sorry Milwaukee). There is NO real competition in Alaska and the citizens of Alaska are an eclectic bunch of long-timers who really don’t know life “down south” or rugged individuals trying to escape their broken lives in the lower 48 or idealistic outdoor adventurers and of course the natives. They are true “mavericks” and they are the type to vote for as little government as possible. Badboy, let me just take a stab at this – you’ve never been to Alaska, have you? I am not a feminist. I’m a hard- working woman, who is also a mother, who is highly educated and well-informed. I could have answered every one of Katie Couric’s questions without blinking an eye or even winking at the camera.

ok, can i just say that joe biden totally rocked my socks during the debate especially with the “bridge to nowhere” jab? i’m in love with him. i want his babies, his little asshole babies.
he made such a good showing. i figured he might have a difficult time with how he should handle palin ever since they made the big stink over how she’s treated unfairly by the media, blah, blah, blah.
he was respectful but he also wasn’t afraid to put her in her place. how many times did she use the word, “maverick?” god, i’m so glad he showed her up about that.
I think Sarah Palin isn’t given enough credit for her accomplishments. That said, I don’t think she’s fit to be Vice-President of the country. She did the best that she could with what she was given in her state. I mean, becoming governor with that little common sense??? She’s clearly outdone you jojo. I don’t see you governing any states. Did you expect her to say “no” when she was offered to run for vice-president? She couldn’t say no without losing face in her state.
