Lindsay Lohan Is Done with the Drama

La Lohan has a new interview in the October issue of Marie Claire, and, if the teaser on their website is to be believed, it’s quite a departure from her past interviews.

Lindsay speaks with a new-found maturity and appreciation for the impact of her actions. She understands what it does to an entire movie set when she shows up acting like a bitch. She understands what a terrible influence her father is (“We’ve gone through enough with him. Enough is enough.”), she’s done living in hotels (I didn’t want to be alone, so whatever I needed I could just go downstairs and there were people there. It wasn’t a way of life.”), and she’s parted ways with her momager and is now managed by Jeni Muro, an ovarian cancer survivor (“All this crap doesn’t matter. Life is much bigger than that. I share my perspective with her, and I don’t think anyone else has really done that.”)

And, last but not least, Lindsay seems to think she’s put her drama-tastic party days behind her.

“I’ve learned,” she says. “I’ll never go back. And it’s not a never-say-never type thing – it’s just, I know. I know.”

What do you guys think? Is the new and improved Lindsay here to stay? Or is it just a matter of time before our party girl finds the party again?

  • i think she’s actually a clever girl who ran with the bad crowd for a while… don’t we all at some point.. hers just happened to be a bigger fiasco.. i don’t know.. she doesn’t seem to be such an airhead a la hilton or whatever.. i think she still has promise…

  • That is very encouraging. Getting away from the wackadoo parents and the bad Barbie girls is a good move – and realizing that she isn’t the center of the world is an even bigger one. I think she’ll do okay.

Our little girl is growing up. [snifflle!]

  • I don’t think she is so much “new and improved”. I think she’s a really smart girl, and she saw what the bitchy ho-bags were getting, and decided to give it a try to see how far she could get. Once she realilzed that she was becoming the laughing stock of Hollywood with whom no one wanted to work, she decided to change that. I’m sure that her parents and keeping her attraction to girls a secret didn’t help either. I just hope that she can have some sort of impact on her sister while she’s still young and not-as-famous. That girl is looking to be a trainwreck-in-the-making.

  • Great interview. Much different tone from previous ones. Hope the full interview appears soon.

I hope she can make it. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.

  • Oh, who gives a fuck about Lindsay LoLife anyway? She’s a shit actress, a shit singer, has a shitty family, has a transsexual lover, and above all, is nothing more than a crack whore. I hope she fucking dies soon so I don’t have to hear about her ugly ass in the media anymore.

  • It was pretty rough for a few years there but I think she has definitely turned the proverbial corner.

She seems to be genuinely happy again and has a new found wisdom.

Sam Ronson appears to have been a wonderful influence, too.

    Go Linds!!

  • I’m really rooting for her. But I do worry. She’s very young & her & Sam probable won’t stay together forever. If that day does come, I hope she doesn’t go bat-shit crazy!

  • I used to adore her, she is definitely not looking as lovely as she once did. She has done terrible roles, has had a sordid past and still goes out much of the time. When one hears about her it is during the day shopping and at night going clubbing. It is hard to root for her except to congratulate her on dumping the mom who seemed like a leech.

  • wooo hooo! so pulling for lindsay. i see shades of drew barrymore here…no?
it CAN be done. lindsay is a talented actress. so much potential. love her soo
    go linds…

  • She is a major talent, no doubt and given the right material will shine again. She has a bit of an image problem that kind of eats into her cred and it’s such a shame cause she is a way more interesting and less boring an actress than the majority of her contemporaries and should really have pulled ahead of the pack. The drama kind of overshadows her talent, but likewise people should stop being so judgemental, we all make mistakes, and apart from the compulsive shopping lol people should just let it be. I used to love Lilo when I was a kid so am rooting for her to get back on top again!!
