Please explain the whole “rooting for her” theme. Did I miss something in this girl’s “career”? She has proven more suited for the tabloid life. She didn’t “fall from grace” or something poetic. Does everyone forget that she was a joke even before she became this rag mag victim? We’re not talking about someone who had great talent at some point, ala Michael Jackson. Hell there’s more of a case to be made for rooting for Winehouse. At least she can sing! What are we rooting for britney to achieve, exactly? Here white-trashiness is the only talent she’s ever mastered. Are we hoping one day she makes i back onto the airwaves?? Are our memories of that nightmare gone already?? This is not and never was someone who was regarded as a “talent”. Please regain focus, people!!

justpassingby: people are rooting for britney b/c they believe she had a mental illness, which caused her to go insane and trash her career. they see she is making strides to come back and they are supportive of her. she was a big star, who fell hard and a lot had to do w/ the paps harassing her, which all celebs agree is an issue today. there are just some people out there who are talented and sweet and people root for them even if they enjoy watching them fall. one example is robert downey jr, then there are people who fell from grace and who people can care less about. one example is corey haim.
