Olympic cutie Nastia Liukin is sucking up every last minute of this fame — as well she should. And save those pennies, girl!! It won’t be like this forever!
Nastia made an appearance at Macy’s in Herald Square on Monday.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t get a gold medal in making sure her fly is zipped. Whoops!

What’s better than winning Olympic gold?
Being in the same room as Taylor Momsen, that’s what!
And Nastia Liukin will get to do just that, as she’s scored a guest spot on Gossip Girl through a very fortuitous series of events.
“I was in Los Angeles having dinner with a bunch of my friends and the producers of ‘Gossip Girl’ were sitting at the table next to me,” Liukin told reporters before being named Sportswoman of the Year by the Women’s Sports Foundation on Tuesday.
“So they sent over a note saying ‘Congratulations. Keep watching “Gossip Girl’. Then the next day they contacted my management and the next thing I know I have a guest role on ‘Gossip Girl.’
“I’m gonna get to film ‘Gossip Girl’ next time I’m here on October 21.”
“I was going to play myself and then they thought it would be cool to give me a character,” she said. “A bunch of my friends always watch, so to actually be on it, it’s really cool.”
Here’s a bunch of pics of Nastia and other female athletes, including Shawn Johnson, Michelle Kwan and Natalie Coughlin, at the 29th annual Salute to Women in Sports awards in New York yesterday.
Also there: Jill Hennessy, who needs to fire her hairstylist.

Hey, remember back in the day when, after winning an Olympic all-around gold, gymnasts would head back to Texas and either resume training or start coaching and the next time we’d see them they’d be on a box of Wheaties?
The times they are a-changin’.
Nastia Liukin was spotted — where else — leaving LA hotspot Beso last night, with the obligatory bitchy publicist in tow. No autographs, please. She’s way too famous now.

Olympic gymnastics all-around champ Nastia Liukin returned home to the US today and got to show off her vast array of medals.
I also found an old photo — from April 2006 — of Nastia and the 2004 all-around champ, Carly Patterson, at the premiere of Stick It and just had to share it with you guys. They grow up so fast!
