5Ginnifer Goodwin Is Obsessive About Her Health… and Listerine?
Ginnifer Goodwin is a bit odd, isn’t she? She’s like something straight out of Lord of the Rings (she’d be an Elf, obviously) or something. Also, she’s a pretty terrible actress. I absolutely love Once Upon a Time, partly because everyone in that show is horrendous at acting (Lana Parrilla excepted!) and also because it’s pretty clever and almost – but not quite – great.
In any case, celebs are forever endorsing products for a quick buck and Ginnifer is no exception (I once thought she was going to start shilling for Weight Watchers) – she’s now the spokesperson for… Listerine. I can’t hate on that because dental health is def important – nobody’s trying to have rotten teeth and bleeding gums, over here – but Listerine is the worst because they use alcohol in their mouthwash (ACT anticavity is the jump off, for the record). Either way, Ginnifer is cashing Listerine’s checks and is apparently even using their shit on her off time.
From The Huffington Post:
How many times a day do you brush/floss? And be honest!
Well, before this, I’ve always been a twice-a-day brusher. I try to floss every day — that’s not true — I don’t try to floss. If you tried to floss every day then you would. I do floss several times a week, but I know that we’re supposed to do it every day. Now that I’ve been educated about oral health, my habits are changing. Today I started swishing with LISTERINE® twice a day. It only takes 30 seconds twice a day, and it will virtually clean 100 percent of your mouth.
Ginnifer also had some other beauty tips to share:
What’s one beauty/hygiene routine you’re absolutely obsessive about?
Oh my gosh, I feel like I’m really obsessive about anything dealing with my health. I’m very careful not to over-wash my face. I don’t pick at anything — as my grandma taught me not to.What’s one beauty product you absolutely swear by?
Extra-virgin organic coconut oil! It’s a miracle product. You can eat it, put it on your cuticles, shave your legs with it … it’s pretty stunning. I wash my face with it, put it on my lips and I also use it as moisturizer.
Coconut oil is good, I feel her on that, and picking your face is gross (but sometimes so tempting). I still think Listerine sucks, though.

6Stars Without Makeup: Ginnifer Goodwin

So that, that ^^ up there, is a far cry from this, which is probably how we’re envisioning Ginnifer Goodwin as of late:

Which is also a far cry from this, which is an image last used when we last had a Ginnifer Goodwin-dedicated post, back in January of 2011:

And it goes without saying that she looks beautiful in all three of these photos—sans makeup, dressed up to the nines, and with long, flowing hair, but what’s your favorite Ginnifer Goodwin face? Me, I like them all. It’s a fortunate thing for a lady when she can go out without makeup on and look just as lovely as when she’s all done up. What’s your take?

16Y’all Need To Leave Ginnifer Goodwin Alone For Being On Weight Watchers Since She Was Nine

I guess Ginnifer Goodwin recently said in an interview that she’s been using the Weight Watchers program since she was a preteen to manage her weight. Of course drama queens across the world who love to start shit about body image when they don’t really understand the issue chimed in and started saying she was somehow wrong for this.
Just read Ginnifer’s side of the story in People and see how NOT unhealthy her use of the program has been:
“I was so shocked when it was this whole, ‘Ginny’s been on a diet since she was 9 years old!’ I was like ‘No!’ I’ve never had body issues, I’ve never had an eating disorder,” she tells PEOPLE. “I’ve never had to go on a diet and that’s because of Weight Watchers.”
Goodwin, however, says she was an overweight child, which led her to the program. “I began to identify myself as fat.” Goodwin says. “At 9 years old I weighed about 10 lbs. less than what my weight is at 32. I needed to get help.”
“I ended up going to my mother crying,”she recalls. “With the counseling of my family doctor, my mother ended up turning to Weight Watchers and their children’s program. I went to weekly meetings, got counseling and would exercise with my peers who were my size. It was the first time I saw a proper children’s portion size, and it wasn’t two burgers, it was one.”
See? That’s why you don’t jump down people’s throats about how they handle their own weight issues and that’s also why we should probably stop grilling celebrities for their meal plans and diet tricks. The “tricks” are anything from “starvation” to “nature” depending on the person you’re talking to, everyone’s different.
I was really grabbed by this story because I too had weight issues growing up, especially around the age when Ginnifer said she started feeling self-conscious. I figured out my body and lost a bunch of weight when I got older, but I would have killed to have my eating broken down for me the way they do at Weight Watchers when I was that age. Hell, all parents should do this with their kids at a certain point, especially in a world where it’s harder and harder to find food that’s not chock full of preservatives and grossness. Putting your child on a model’s diet is one thing, but educating them so they have a healthy relationship with food should be like taking them to the dentist.
I’m sure Kelly Osbourne would agree.

6Kate and Ginnifer on the Something Borrowed Set

I’m bananas about Ginnifer Goodwin and when I’m not annoyed by Kate Hudson, I find her delightful (a love/hate relationship, you might say), so I’m actually looking forward to Something Borrowed, the romcom the two are filming in NYC. These photos of the actresses hanging out on set were snapped in the Meatpacking District today and it seems like Ginnifer and Kate might be buddies on set, which will definitely help with their on screen chemistry.
Any movies coming out that you’re looking forward to seeing?

11This is The Best Big Love Spoiler Ever.
For those of you who have been watching Big Love from the jump, you probably couldn’t help but notice that there’s always been some sexual tension/weird flirty thing going on between Margene and Bill’s youngest son Ben. Nothing’s ever happened between the two (because, well, that’s just really so many different kinds of uncomfortable, but according to series co-creator, this new season something finally is going to happen between the two. “We have flirted for three years with [that] relationship. And this year we finally decided to pay it off,” Olsen said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
What this is going to mean for the family is up in the air. Par of me is convinced it would ruin everything, but another part of me can’t help but wonder if they’d for whatever reason be OK with Bill kind of handing off Margie to Ben.
Ginnifer Goodwin, however, was completely torn about the move and said last week that her character “does something next season that in my own esteem is so horrible that I had trouble even performing it.”
Anyone else dying to see how this unfolds?

19Who’s the New Guy, Ginnifer?
She split from former Katie Holmes fiance Chris Klein late last year, and today Ginnifer Goodwin was spotted at LAX with her new man. I’m not sure who this is, but he’s quite a cutie! Can anyone ID him? He looks a little like my imaginary boyfriend, Britney Spears’ “Toxic” hottie Matt Felker, but it’s definitely not the same guy.
Who is this???
