Tony’s Red Carpet Impresses

The Tony awards were last night! But before ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ was the big winner, Broadway’s elite shined on the red carpet.

This review is just my personal opinion and is just a commentary on the fashion the guests chose to wear. No personal attacks. So settle down.

Bette Midler in a custom silver-and-gunmetal beaded gown from Michael Kors. What can I say. Bette is a goddess and she looks like she should be mounted on the front of a ship. Bow.

Patti Lupone is another legend, and in this case I’m going focus on that instead of this Vegas wedding gown.

I don’t know who designer Sally LaPointe is, but she should have refused service to Tina Fey when she tried to purchase this dress. <3 you, T.

Bee Shaffer and mum Anna Wintour struck rare bohemian chords. Bee’s wearing Alexander McQueen. Anne… idk. Vintage tablecloth?

SHUT YOUR FACE!!!  This dress and Cynthia Erivo are a match made in heaven. Someone should paint her in this thing. I’m plotzing.

Cynthia Nixon looking fresh and rather youthful with some porcelain skin and a pale pink dress by Rosie Assoulin

My bff Chrissy Teigen looks perfect b/c she always does b/c don’t question the Teig #donowrong #callmemaybe

Condola Rashad, daughter of Phylicia, looks freaking fantastic in this Vivienne Westwood sculpted dress.

Sara Bareilles wore this crazy dress from Naeem Khan. Like tinseled snowflakes sewn together. Looks itchy.

Anna Kendrick wore this floral Miu Miu dress that seems more suited for a fancy brunch than a red carpet.

Olivia Wilde in a custom Michael Kors… I mean come on. Too much sternum.

omg it’s Danny DeVito and his daughter Lucy! I don’t know who she’s wearing, and I’m good with that b/c it’s awful…. but how fun to see the offspring of Danny and Rita. Cray.

Uma Thurman looks great, if not a little casual for my red carpet tastes. Still, just a lovely number I could easily see Grace Kelly in.

Woooo! Model Candice Swanepoel is just poured into this sheer Prabal Gurung gown.

Cobie Smulders went all kinds of high fashion in this Schiaparelli Couture. I love it, despite Cobie refusing to use a hairbrush or wear make up.

  • the devitos have such big heads!! I love cynthia erivo (who?) – well her dress – too. and I’m happier with too much sternum (though it is, way) than TBP. (tits be poppin)
