Lindsay Lohan “Wouldn’t Call Things Regrets”

Lindsay Lohan has done some shit. Various arrest, substance abuse issues, complete meltdowns… you name it, she’s been through it. It seems like she may finally be getting somewhat back on solid ground in the past year or so (though I think it’s always a bit tenuous with her) now that she’s engaged to some random Russian dude and keeping a low profile, but I find her new interview with Vanity Fair pretty interesting.

In particular, Lindsay says she doesn’t really have any regrets, per se. Sure, she knows she could have done a few things different, but que sera, sera.

Do you have any regrets?

I wouldn’t call things regrets, per se. I can’t turn back time. But if I could, I would have listened more to my mother and gone back home to N.Y.C. earlier in life and chosen my friends more wisely.

What would your 30-year-old self tell your younger self when she started filming The Parent Trap?

I can’t say that I would have listened then, haha. My mother taught me to always be humble, and that is something I live by still today, so I would say that. I would also probably say don’t go too fast. Pay attention to the people you surround yourself with and make sure they have honest intentions. Put yourself first, and just breathe. Be happy and always be grateful for the moment you have in front of you. Be here, now.

I mean, all of that is good advice, but Lindsay’s been spewing that hippie shit even mid-meltdown, so it’s hard to take it seriously or to really believe that she’s actually living that life. I do hope she is, though – it was a shame to see her talent squandered.

  • wow who would have thunk it her mother was the sensible one in the family. Funny I remember “everyone” blaming her mother for her troubles. And yes her D Bag dad too.
