It’s not really a surprise that the reports that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are bumping uglies have actually turned out to be true, since they haven’t particularly been very subtle about it, but whatever. Young love! Or… middle-aged love, so what?! They’re getting their ya-yas out after shitty divorces and not hurting anyone, so why not?
“Blake and Gwen have begun dating,” says the insider. “They’ve been supporting each other through a difficult time and they’re really happy together.”
Shelton – whose rep also confirms the romance to PEOPLE – and Stefani kicked romance rumors into overdrive over Halloween weekend when they were spotted together at various parties.
“Everyone is thrilled because they’re both incredibly nice people,” adds the source.
I suppose sometimes opposites really do attract, because I honestly would never have put these two together. I don’t think it’ll last very long, but we all deserve a little levity in our lives, so they should just enjoy it while it’s happening and hope one or the other of them leaves The Voice when it’s over, because that’ll be a bit awkward, otherwise. For now, I’m kinda into this pairing, I can’t lie. I don’t know why, but something about it just makes sense to me, no matter how wrong it is.
