Oh, snap. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are on The Voice together, so they’ve got to spend a lot of time in the same place. It only makes sense that they’d bond over their recent divorces — Gwen filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale recently, as did Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert — but is their relationship going even deeper than friendship? Who can say. What’s for sure is that they hit up Jared Leto’s Halloween party last weekend (LOL) and seemed pretty cozy until they realized they were being watched.
“Blake and Gwen are going through similar situations,” says a Shelton insider, who adds that the duo “are flirty.” “They have spent time together and have drawn support from each other.”
According to Entertainment Tonight, a source said the stars were holding hands before they spotted a photographer. A source close to Shelton confirms to PEOPLE that the pair were at the same party, but has no knowledge of Shelton and Stefani holding hands. “They have been spending a lot of alone time together,” a Hollywood insider tells PEOPLE; however, a partygoer says the duo “hung out, but were just totally friendly. They were hanging with a group of friends. It was not just the two of them alone.”
For now, “they are good friends,” says the Shelton insider. “The coaches are a close-knit group and share a unique bond.”
Oh yeah, I bet they have a “unique bond”. I think it’s pretty clear that they will never actually be a long-term thing, because they’re completely and utterly the strangest match, but I guess it’s fun for them to do whatever it is they’re doing for now.
