Zendaya Defends Her Parents Against Twitter Trolls

Zendaya Coleman gets a lot of crap over nothing. First, there was that whole ridiculous debacle about Zendaya’s hair. Remember that ordeal? Zendaya found herself on Twitter having to defend her hairstyle. And then Kelly Osbourne tried to somehow make it about her. Nice try, Kelly.

Now Ms. Coleman is on Twitter having to defend her parents. Why? Because some asscanoe tweeted the above photo of the teen with her parents with the message, “they made a gorgeous ass child lol.”

Okay, come on now, was that really necessary? Like, really? Why pick on her parents? And also, why talk about them like they’re Mr. and Mrs. Shrek? They look like fine, happy, normal people!

It wasn’t until some genius added to the Tweets with, “her parents really ugly I really would cry” that Zendaya interjected with this shutdown:

Good for you, girl. In case you can’t read it, here it is:

While you’re so concerned about what my parents look like, please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world. They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things such as looks and insulting people’s parents on Twitter, but instead became educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow minds. (One of the most important yet underpaid jobs we have) So please, log out, go to school, hug a teacher and read a textbook…and while you’re at it, go look in the mirror and know that you too are beautiful, because such hateful things only stem from internal struggles. Bless you.

There were so many ways she could have responded to this, and she chose the classiest, kindest, smartest way. Love it.

  • I am going to be naïve here, I guess some would say. But I hope she wrote it herself about her parents. And, if she did…then her parents really are everything she said.

  • A Disney girl not bigheaded, boring or drug addicted, who knew? Ain’t because of Disney, must be because of how she was broyght up.
