Hulk Hogan Fired From WWE For Racist Tirade; Brooke Hogan Writes Poem

Hulk+Hogan

Big Hulk Hogan news this weekend, and how often does one get to type that? Not often. Unfortunately for Mr. Terry Bollea AKA Hulk Hogan, none of the news is positive. It’s actually pretty bad. So bad that WWE fired him.

So what happened? Basically, a recording of Hogan surfaced from 2007 in which he expressed his, ah, distaste for black men, especially those possibly dating his daughter, Brooke Hogan. Here’s what he said, via Daily Mail:

‘I don’t know if Brooke was f**king the black guy’s son… I mean, I don’t have double standards.

‘I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n****rs. But then when it comes to nice people and s**t, and whatever.’

‘I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n****r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n****r worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!

‘I guess we’re all a little racist. F***king n****r.’

Uhhh…yeah, so obviously, that kind of blatant racism isn’t really gonna fly with a lot of people. WWE realized this, fired his ass, and released this statement:

‘WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

Meanwhile, daughter Brooke is doing her best version of damage control, which is actually coming off as unintentionally hilarious and out of something like Strangers with Candy. She decided the best way to express her thoughts was via poetry. She posted this long-ass poem on Facebook. I’ve included some of it:

If you knew the dad I knew,
you’d know his tender heart.

He’d never want to hurt his fans,
or family from the start.

If you knew my father,
you would know how hard he fought…

and the way it brought a smile to people light, medium and dark.

I mean come on.

  • Anyone who believes he just used these words that one time 8 years ago in one conversation, and it was taken out of context…can say hi to Paula Deen for me.

That poem tho…bwahahahaha!!!! I legit had to look up her age, because it would be perfectly awesome for a 12 year old, but. Light, medium or dark, yo, he was willing to profit from you and THIS is how he is repaid? Really?

  • Hulk and his daughter have always had a creepy relationship to me.

While I think he deserves to be kicked out of WWE, I kindof disagree with them removing him from the wrestling hall of fame (which I didn’t even know what a thing). A record is a record, no matter what. Even if he’s a douchebag, he was the WWE douchebag and they made a SHIT TON of money off of him and his brand.

  • this was eight years ago why fired now this is tommyrot a person should be judge when he commit the act not eight years later.
this is over killed so the WWE can save face so it can save face with its other employee.

  • I’m so over this race baiting. The media is truly disgusting. Media is leaving out
that this is a PERSONAL CONVERSATION. No one is really talking about the implications of this! So now the media and public opinion can now tell me what I can and cannot say on the phone, to my friend, or someone in my personal life. Unreal. Someone can record you and just put that information out. Seriously? I don’t understand where we are going as a society. It’s pretty unbelievable. Actually pretty believable.

Chatty you mentioned Paula Dean. I’m sorry but every black person with a pulse knows that Paula Dean has said the “N word” before. That wasn’t news to anyone. In fact I’m sure some blacks have purchased her products, watched her show, or even went to her restaurant. I’ve gone to her restaurant. The sweet potatoes were amazing but the mac and cheese, meh. Anyways, it was no surprise. The people who were black an employed by her probably knew given her background she had most likely said the word before. They still worked at her establishment. The story was all for the exploitation of… Actually, at the end of the day money. It was all for money and dividing the nation. All of these stories of racial tension create more racial tension. Especially a story that was from 2007. I just can’t with it.

Obviously, there are serious racial issues that need to be discussed like how some cops treat blacks and the injustice in the courts and prison system but someone calling someone the “N word” in a personal conversation is not one of them.

I seriously need to go under a rock. The media is just purely nonsensical.

    I’m sorry about my tangent.

    • Risque, I was thinking the same thing about the hunt for the latest male chauvenist scientist. And the need to call Adam Sandler sexist because he doesn’t have fully developed (well, they ARE developed, just not as characters) female roles in his movies.

Political correctness can go too far. Let’s look at things that actually hurt people or genders as a whole, like the deaths and arrests and people actually stunted in their careers due to having ovaries.

      Well said, lady

  • There were black kids that saw Hulk as a hero and loved him. To hear these vulgar words spoken in private conversation is even worse. It shows the person he truly is. I am glad he got exposed for the shallow, racist dumbass he is so that no black person with pride or integrity will ever support him again. Glad WWE dropped him.

  • I use the n word for 2 reasons one to piss someone off and 2 because blacks call each other it . Fact if you want the word to go then stop using it other wise get over it .
