I told you there was a lot of divorce news today! Back in June 2014, Melanie Griffith filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas after an impressive 18 year run, but it seemed their split was at a stand-still since then. Until now, that is. TMZ reports that the split is now a done deal and their marriage is officially over.
Court records show both signed the necessary legal docs to become officially single after 18 years of marriage.
Melanie was asking for full custody of their daughter, Stella, and also wanted spousal support. The custody issue resolved itself when Stella turned 18 last September.
A judge still needs to sign the docs to make everything official and that should happen in a matter of days.
It’s her 4th divorce and his 2nd.
Damn, her 4th? That’s intense. You’d think after the second or third, you’d be like, man, this whole marriage thing isn’t for me… I think I’ll chill on the nuptials for a while.
