Lindsay Lohan went to prison for all of two weeks back in 2010, getting out early despite her 90-day sentence due to overcrowding in the California prison system. But before anyone thinks she was having a grand old time, living it up with her fellow high-brow criminal offenders, think again: Lindsay has revealed that she spent the whole time in solitary confinement… and actually kinda liked it.

The actress told Jonathan Ross on his chat show that her fourteen days in solitary confinement was was an extreme sentence for the charge she was put away on.
‘Solitary confinement is actually very different, you leave your cell for one hour a day and you don’t go outside,’ Lindsay, 28, explains during Saturday night’s episode.
‘I don’t think anyone knows that but the other girls in the other cells were in there for murder… They [the Prison Officers] said it was for “safety purposes”, I said, “what am I going to do?”
‘I made a mistake, I went to a club and then I drank and I drove home and that’s not the right thing to do but to put someone in that position, it was very scary, it was very jarring.’
‘The weirdest part for me was I finally had silence in my life,’ Lindsay recalled. ‘As terrified as I was and as scared as I was, I finally felt like I didn’t have to answer to anyone and I didn’t have to do anything for anyone. That was the weirdest part of it.’
When Jonathan asked if perhaps it was a good thing for her in that case, Lindsay said, ‘Two days would have been enough.’
Huh. Well, it’s a miracle that she’s stayed out of prison for the past 4 years, but I doubt it’s the last she’ll see of the inside of a cell, unfortunately. She looks well, though. I’m just skeptical to believe that she’s actually going to be able to hold it together for any amount of time, unfortunately.
Of course it was for “safety purposes”. If she was in general pop, she would have gotten her ass kicked. She should be grateful for the solitary.
2 days would have been enough? Apparently even 14 wasn’t enough.

As a mother of little kids, I would LOVE 14 days solitary confinement! !!!

One of my little guys visited a police statio today and his review totally made me think of this post. I asked what he liked the best and he said “I saw the place where the naughty people sit. No beds! And all they can do is fink and fink and fink. The toilet and sink are together! And all they can do is fink. And they close window and fink some more”. It’s practically a play by play of Lohan’s fortnight!
I bet that was quite an experience for a child star who became a grown up star without a break. She always had to perform. She could never just relax. No wonder she became an addict. I doubt that she learned her lesson. She feels that it was unjust to lock her up and that she just made one simple mistake and was crucified for it. I don’t think that she will change her ways any time soon.
Maybe 14 days of finking helped?
