Lindsay Lohan’s next movie is Inferno, that Linda Lovelace biopic. I don’t you if you know a lot about Linda Lovelace’s past, but it was pretty fucked up. Jezebel has posted select pages from the script, and this film is going to be unsettling to say the very least. If you’re even remotely sensitive to things like child abuse, domestic abuse, and sexual humiliation, maybe don’t read the following excerpts.
On the tenth page of the script, Linda’s mother burns her hand, then tells her “you touch shit and that’s whatcha get.” Later on, there’s a scene with Linda and her husband/manager, Chuck, in which he’s fingering her and makes her say things like
“I’m STUPID. I’m STUPID AND UGLY and every part of me is a disappointment. I got nothin’. Nothin’ to give anybody but a hard time.”
When she orgasms, the script says that she feels “tremendously embarrassed. And overwhelmed, as if drowning.” A few pages later, Chuck kicks her while yelling at her about disrespect and then “picks up the beaten, kicked, crying Linda” and “turns from strange violence to strange tenderness.”
The script also includes a foursome with Sammy Davis Jr. and a scene in which Linda is coerced to have sex with a dog.
I just don’t know about all this. Jezebel claims the script is “incredibly well-written,” but I still feel sick after reading the excerpts. Then there’s the question of whether or not Lindsay can handle this kind of role. I’m not even talking about talent: it would take an extremely stable individual to be able to play that role without any kind of psychological repercussions, and when I think “stable individual,” I definitely do not think of Lindsay Lohan.
Filming will begin in August, assuming Lindsay doesn’t go to jail, so I guess we’ll see then if she can handle it. While I think jail could help her work her shit out, I hope if she manages to make it to filming that everything goes well. Acting out Linda Lovelace’s life while dealing with her myriad of issues could easily cause a complete breakdown.
She could make or ruin this film. I don't know.. I don't think she has the clout to pull this off.

while i applaud the idea of a Linda Lovelace bio, and i like Lindsay (for all her faults), i feel that she's wrong for the part, for two reasons.
to be believable, it's my opinion she'd need reduction surgery.
