Earl Ex is Still Completely Wigged By Scientology — Eight Years Later

Jason Lee’s ex-wife, Carmen Llywellyn, claims that she’s still haunted by the ghosts of Scientology past that tormented her during the couple’s seven-year union.

Carmen speaks out in an exclusive interview with the National Enquirer and spills the beans on the cult that we’ve all come to associate with Tom Cruise and other illustrious celebrities like Peaches Geldof, Chaka Khan, Juliette Lewis and Charles Manson.

Lee’s ex states that she joined the Church of Scientology after she and Lee were married in 1995 and had nothing but issues with the “church” from the time she joined to even after the two’s divorce had become finalized in 2002. Llywellyn claims that the church was behind a “series of bizarre encounters with Scientologist celebrities” and multiple harassment incidents.

To the Enquirer, Llywellyn states:

“I have never spoken about Scientology before, but I still have nightmares about these people. They ruined my life and my career. I ended up addicted to painkillers, and it took three rehabs to get me straight.”

She also discussed celebrity encounters of the third kind that left her feeling shell-shocked:

“I was shopping recently when Jenna Elfman, who’s a staunch Scientologist, approached me. She spouted statements like a robot and treated me like dirt.”

Llywellyn claims that the main reason behind the couple’s divorce was because he was a mean drunk and knocked the crap out of her on a few occasions.  She even claimed that she had to have her jaw wired shut on one occasion.  While Lee has previously admitted to a past of alcoholism, it’s hard to imagine the My Name is Earl star walloping anyone.

However, I guess you never do know.  I mean, I don’t know a whole lot about Scientology and who knows if all this stuff is even true — you know, despite the fact that it comes from a reputable source like the Enquirer — but isn’t drinking and whacking your wife one of the cardinal sins, according to Xenu?

You wouldn’t picture Tom “Napoleon” Cruise slapping Katie Kate Holmes around, would you?

  • Read the stories from the “lesser” (that is, non-celebrity) ex-members of Scientology and you will be horrified.

  • Charles Manson has a Scientology connection? Didn’t know that. Ditto Chaka Khan, This Scientology thing is bigger than some Cruises, some Travoltas, an Alley, and the King’s little girl, Lisa Marie.
Well, I shouldn’t be surprised, since Dianetics is reportedly one of the most printed & read books of all time.
Moral of the story is that one should probably never mix violent drunkenness and Scientology. Oh, okay, we can probably replace Scientology in this combo and still come up with an unfortunate twosome.

  • This IS true. Scientology is hardcore exploitation of people and evil to the bone. I know cause i’ve had personal experiences with it and people who second-guess their cynism piss me right off!! You need to take this seriously. They’re NOT a religion (no true spiritual or enlightened person would ever take money in return for sharing his wisdom) and the only reason they’re not banned entirely is because of lobbyism. Go educate yourself on this.

  • Carmen’s story is really sad and scientology is certainly a crazy topic on it’s own, but I’m not sure I agree with the conclusion drawn here… are you suggesting that Lee is abusive because of his Scientology connection? Or that his alcoholism/abusiveness make him a hypocritical follower? If it’s the latter, then I don’t think that kind of hypocrisy is limited to followers of the ‘religion’ of scientology alone…

  • Real stuff that happens there was video-taped evidence, escaped victims passed lie detector tests in interviews with doctors and people died.. family’s were and are divided and destroyed, they were forced to work in communial circumstances with little to no pay or account to taxes, social security or insurance; under their terroristic ritual teachings and brain-washing techniques these victims had to seek treatment from the U S government welfare to restore their confidence and life., and try to keep the followers from harrassing and abusing them with threats.. but literally they lost everything and must start over with nothing.

    • right? that’s what i thought. i for one used to go to Spaceland (bar in LA) all the time, and Jason Lee did too. i got to know this particular female bartender who worked there and she told me he verbally abused her when she turned down his invite to get it on. at that time, he had a wife AND new baby at home. this guy is a SUPER CREEP.

  • Read the expose in the NY Times. It was published about a month ago and will make your skin crawl.
